Rapmoney: Have you ever seen people drinking local gin from a bottle containing snake before? It is common among the riverine people of Southern Nigeria, especially, the Ijaws and Urhobos. They call it snake wine.
People take it for different reasons. Some take it for protection against snake bite, while others take it with the belief that it prevents snakes from coming close to them or harming them.
HOW IT IS DONE: It is usually done with a live snake forced into a bottle. Dead snakes are not used. Then local gin is poured into the bottle. The strong nature of the gin kills the snake and the bottle is shaken vigorously with the snake inside. It is then served by pouring into glass cups for everyone to enjoy.
Can anyone come out to confirm this - if they have taken it and lived long? We need testimonies from my Niger Delta people
Techpik: Happy Sunday guys, this have accusation of labeling me yahoo guy in the compound have happened on many occasions during compound meeting, side talks etc.
But I’m not to be sincere I’m a freelance website developer working from home, I have worked for lots of people even on this nairaland, within Nigeria and abroad at the comfort of my home.
What use to trigger this labeling is because most of my neighbors go out in the morning and come at night and I’m always indoor (at home) living good.
So this have been causing side talks and even confrontations from some neighbors.
Most times I have been explaining and try to prove to them, that I’m a freelance website developer that I worked from home.
Before anybody will think the same on nai.raland, you can check me on google Techpik and all social medias and my site.
You will even see good reviews from people I have completed projects for.
I also need your advice guys, to deal with those neighbors.
Go and get a little office somewhere or share an office with someone. Go out every morning and come back at night
Gunayo: Kwankwaso surest way to 2031 presidency is to be V,P to Peter Obi. Take it or leave it. That is the sincere truth. Kwankwaso must swallow his pride and pitch his tent with Obi before it is too late. A word is enough for the wise. Ire ooo.
So, you mean Peter Obi will just come and do a-4 year presidency and leave the stage for Kwakwanso?
searchlight: I don't believe that Tinubu will dump Wike just like that. I think that he could retain him as fct minister for another four years if he wins but having the body and soul of Rivers state is not guaranteed like before.
In this shocking viral video, a Nigerian lady vents her frustration and anger after her younger brother went to a notorious "HK" (Yahoo Boys training camp) hoping to learn internet fraud and come back wealthy. Instead, he returned looking extremely thin, weak, hungry, and traumatized, claiming he was assaulted and mistreated during his time there.
Watch as she passionately calls him out in front of the camera while he stands silently behind her, shirtless and visibly emaciated. This raw moment exposes the harsh reality behind the get-rich-quick scams – no money, no glory, just regret and suffering.
Many are calling out the hypocrisy: If he had succeeded and returned with cars and cash, would she be complaining? Crime doesn't pay! What do you think – should families expose this or keep it private? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
Zico5: The elders are coming in gradually. Wike will be dismantled finally.
Same way the so called elders instigated the first war that almost consumed him and they were no where to be found? True and responsibe Elders would rather try and settle these two political gladiators and not trying to put more fire or divide the two brothers the more. What manners of elders are these? The President still has the power to declare a harsher emergency in that state.

ICON FALLS: Founder of Nuel Ojei LMT, Dr. Nuel Ojei, Dies at 74. In a statement released by his Son, Nicholas, the family stated that they are yet to come to terms with the passing on of thier beloved father, the pioneer and sole distributors of Mazda autos in Nigeria.
"The nation is gripped by sorrow following the heartbreaking passing of Dr. Emmanuel Isichei Ugochukwu Ojei, fondly known as Nuel Ojei, the revered founder and guiding light of Nuel Ojei LMT, who departed this life at the age of 74. His death marks the painful close of a life defined by vision, sacrifice, and an enduring commitment to people and progress. With a heavy heart, I confirm the passing of my beloved father. His death came as a profound shock to our family following a brief illness. Words cannot fully capture the depth of our pain at this moment, as we struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss of a man who was not only our father but our strength, teacher, and moral compass. My father was more than a businessman; he was a builder of lives and legacies. A distinguished Nigerian industrialist, entrepreneur, and business magnate, he served as the Founder, Executive Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Nuel Ojei Holdings Ltd (NOH). Through discipline, resilience, and uncommon wisdom, he built enterprises that created opportunities, inspired excellence, and contributed meaningfully to national development. To many, he was a mentor and leader of rare integrity. To us, he was a loving father whose counsel guided our steps and whose values shaped our lives. He led with humility, strength, and compassion, touching countless lives across generations. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his teachings and example will forever remain our guide. Though his passing signals the end of a remarkable chapter, his legacy lives on in the institutions he built, the people he mentored, and the values he upheld. He is survived by his children, family members, and a wide community of friends, associates, and admirers who will continue to honour his memory. On behalf of the Ojei family, I humbly ask for your prayers, love, and support during this time of deep grief. Funeral arrangements and further details will be communicated in due course. An icon has fallen. A father is gone. His legacy will live forever.
