Money missed road....keep hallucinating

A few weeks back, the Director General of NAFDAC was heard saying that the body does not have oversight over the sale of adulterated and chemicalized food products in Nigerian markets. This assertion, to my mind is uncalled for.

For the sake of the health of the public, all consumer foods regulatory bodies(NAFDAC, FCCPC, SON, NQC, NAQS and others) must rise up to strictly act in order to curtail these dangerous practices by some unscrupulous Nigerians.

As a eye witness, i have witnessed a scenarios here in Abuja, as narrated hereinafter:

"I have stopped eating fufu because of the manners they now preserve and add some detergents, such as hypo or other preservatives that are toxic for human consumption.

I have a neighbour who prepares and sell fufu. She used to buy cassava, peel and prepare the fufu the normal traditional way and i used to patronize her because her fufu was always well prepared, neat and fresh.

I discovered lately the woman has stopped buying raw cassava, but would rather buy bags of half baked fufu, that is preserved with chemicals which she now finish, wraps and sell to members of the public. Infact she supplies in huge quantities to vulnerable members of the public, including eatries, restaurants and retailers.

Attimes, bags of the half-prepared fufu are packed indiscriminately with goats, dogs, pussy cats and birds feasting on them, even in most cases urinating on them.

This unsafe production practice has made me to stop eating akpu whether from her or anywhere else. Bye bye to Akpu or fufu"

The International Chamber of Commerce, ICC, arbitration tribunal has found that former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and Leno Adesanya, promoter of Sunrise Power and Transmission Company Limited, reached a corrupt deal over the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project.

It also examined evidence concerning Malami’s interactions with Adesanya, including WhatsApp exchanges between the two while Nigeria and Sunrise were opposing parties in arbitration proceedings.

According to the tribunal, Adesanya testified that Malami solicited a bribe during discussions over the settlement and that he had audio and video recordings of the alleged conversation. The recordings were not produced before the tribunal.

The findings were contained in the tribunal’s 616-page final award delivered in Paris on September 16, 2026, in a case arising from disputes over the Mambilla project in Taraba State.

How can a husband asks his wife show concern and drop something to support atleast a part of one of the children's school fees/text books and she is resisting?

The husband has been repsonsible for the school fees and wellbeing of the 4 kids, but in this first term, the school fees have increased and the need to get a little support from a wife is creating discord.

The Federal government job the wife is doing was offered to her through the husband(originally meant for him), while the husband rather opted to be in the street hustling and in school too.

To cushion the effect of transportation, the husband had years sold his Bolt business car to buy a tokunbo car for her, as means of getting to and from work. Now the woman is working and at the same time running a side business, using the car as a support.

Anytime issue of supporting the family comes up, she flares up, whereas she sends money to family back home often (which am not critical of).

Out of the 4 kids, the husband has told her to take up a partial responsibility for one of them who is in JSS 3, because the fee is high.

Is it unmanly or wrong for a husband to call a wife to show support for children's school fees(at most partial support for one out of 4 kids)?

Or is she resisting this because she is used to not supporting before now, as i have never called for her support in any way before now?

I hope Dangote is not doing this to undermine the Federal Government preparatory to the 2027 elections, to make way for his brother
