Got ur msg. We got a nice cab driver who sold another idea to wifey so we found ourselves at another hotel around Matheheko in Accra. Can't remember the name now but it's owned by a nigerian. The good thing about their rooms is that each room has a kitchen where U can make ur own food if U don't like their menu. The've got 24 hour free internet access for all guests too and their fees are also pocket friendly. The journey to Cape coast took almost the whole day but it was worth it. The've got lots of tourist centers their at Cape coast which attracts different people from different continents. The images we saw at Point of no return made us weep for our fore fathers and what they went through in the hands of their slave masters. So painful that my memory card got damaged so I lost some memorable pics. Their palm wine was the sweetest and their coconuts were as good as free. Lodging at Accra wasn't a very good idea because of terrible traffic tha we have to contend with each time we have to go out. The overrall experience was awesome. We decided to return by road cause we planned doing some shoppings at Togo were but we were carried away with the night life at and the nice spots at Lome so we decided to spend extra 3 days there before heading back home.

Auto transmission is originally made for handicaps ie those that lost one leg and or one arm. I feel borred each time I drive autos. I only decided to get an additional car with auto because my wife prefers the easy way.

If U want to get a real driving experience and the enthusiasm that come with it, get yourself a car that comes with manual transmission.

Was in Ghana few months back and while discussing with the cab driver that moves me around, he informed me that most taxi drivers have converted their petrol engine to diesel. Don't know how possible it is technically, but he said there's a device they place in engine which makes it possible to accept diesel. I hope that th auto gurus here can throw more light here.

If this is true, I'm sure that this would become a new trend in Naija.

That's the only honest and unbiased response I've seen on this thread.

I am yet to see a car that is used in Nija for a year without any dent from Okadas, danfo and that glorified Okada called Keke Napep. I don't see anything wrong in re spraying such a car before selling. The truth is that most Nija buyers wants the best but they are not ready to pay extra cash for it. If yuo place an accidented car from overseas that was refurbished and resprayed here side-by-side with a well mentained Nija used car that is also resprayed, they'll be willing to cough out extra 700k to buy the Tokunbo car. Most people don't realise that it makes a lot of economic sense in buying Naija  used car. As long as I have a trusted mechanic who can confirm that the car is in a perfect condition, I don't care whether it is resprayed or not cause I don't use a car up to 3 yrs before I sell off.

For exaple, I bought a Nija used car at 650k some years back while its Tokunbo goes for 1.1m. Spent about 70k to refurbish it and after using it for a year, a colleague offered me 750k and I sold it to him. Would've lost a lot of money if I had bought it as Tokunbo. A pastor jus offered me an SUV at about 800k cheaper than it's Tokunbo counterpart and I discovered after inspection that this SUV has everything U'll find in a Tokunbo. should I change my my mind cause it had been resprayed during its 2 yrs of use in Nija? No. Why bother whether it has been resprayed or not when it is obvous that you can hardly use it up to 6 months without paying a visit to the spray painter? This doesn't make any sense to me.

I bought a used 2000 RX300 but discovered that the owner's manual is missing. Can anyone in the house assist me with a link where I can download the manual, or where I can buy a hard copy of the manual.

I'm also a DIY person and will also require a scanner for my personal use. Kindly advise on a suitable scanner for me to buy, and where I can get it.

A good example of how our incompetent mechanics rip us off.
A good reason to buy your own scan too. I bet that you can get a used engine from Ladipo at a price that is less than the amount you spend on this engine.
