But there is so much presure from my family, my inlaws, and even my fiancee that we must print Wedding Cards. Its not that I cannot afford it, but is it really a amust that there must be cards?

yes there should be cards b/c not everyone has access to a computer and some ppl dont know how to use one , also its just one of those things that should be done , happy married life

there must be an invitation card to go along with the wedding ceremony as our custom demands. It adds flavour and humour to the nuptual bliss. You can print a limited quantity so as to avoid wastage and printing it will equally enlighten some who may come across it to attend without formal invitation.

My relatives bought 250 sheets of pre-printed custom wedding invitation cards from the office supply store using Microsoft Word and their printer in order to tear cards, fold them and send by mail. Cheaper than real professional printing shop or wedding planner's engraved wedding package.

to be serious with you, you need to print a few atleast, unless everyone coming are your age group, i guess our fathers would expect cards because i wonder how many of them have access to the internet, even if they do, the card thing will make more sense to them, you could be selective in your card distribution and use other means to get across to close friends and colleagues.

Poster, not necesarilly to have cards but because people got so use to receiving cards. But Some hollywood stars these days uses Text messaging via HP.

and if you're inviting the older people whom are not literate to computers, than they wont know about this your wedding invitation. But if you are sure that all you guest are ok with the computer, than you could tell your parents that you are supporting earth hour and that you are saving paper to savve trees.

Hi, it is better for you to text message, e-mail, and send normal invitation cards. Not everybody can read, or have time to check their messages., but everybody will receive the invitation cards. Try also to call important people like elderly people, may be your pastors, your parents friends, your aunties, etc to show sign of respect for the elders.
