Re: Greatest Rapper On Nairaland Volume Two(group Tournament) by Christino(m): 10:25pm On Sep 23, 2006
Okay, here's the First Group Tourney Thread.

Let's break it down. (Example)

Group name: Senior Mafia
Tag/slogan/motto: "Last men standing"
Group Leader: Hot Plait
Other Members: D'wayn, Snype

D'wayn:
Yo, this is d'wayn, da coolest dude on the trigger
Don't flaunt it if you can't use it, let the ripper do it

Snype:
Home boy snype living up to the hype
If you can't live without a fact u nat ma type

And when it's time for the tournament, the track name should come first before the lines. Chorus should be included.
Name of Diss Track: "Project Wannabes"

Then the lines, Min 10, max 25 lines per group member. Max: 90 lines for all verses (including interludes). Max 8 lines for Chorus.

Let's stick by the rules so we have some organisation.

TIME - stick by your schedule (GMT Timing), and do your opponent a favour, quote their lines so they can't return to edit it, the judges will do that also.

Entries must be submitted on or before the 13th of December. Fixtures will be released on the 15th and the Tourney kicks off on the 16th.

I've been asked to be a judge.
If everyone agrees.
I'll do it.

Then again.
If everyone does not agree.
I'se still here.

Re: Greatest Rapper On Nairaland Volume Two(group Tournament) by Drusilla(f): 11:49pm On Sep 25, 2006
Just call me the unfair judge.

Each rap you give.

I will be saying it outloud to my children and having them repeat it back.

If it don't bump or it seems wack to the ear.

Then you will be judged lowly.

The rappers I know, spend years rapping without music and special effects -->flowing.

And that has always been the most important thing to whether one could make it.

And that is what I will be judging on. Flow in real time, not in my head.

But what my 16, 15, 11, 9 and 5 year old thinks about it, when they repeat it and hear it.
Re: Greatest Rapper On Nairaland Volume Two(group Tournament) by Drusilla(f): 11:54pm On Sep 25, 2006
I will allow -- clean up or fix -- for unfamiliarity. Not cuss words but Nigerian specific words or ideas. Those won't count against you.
Re: Greatest Rapper On Nairaland Volume Two(group Tournament) by Drusilla(f): 11:56pm On Sep 25, 2006
And if you were not scared before,
you should be scared now motherphucker.

Re: Greatest Rapper On Nairaland Volume Two(group Tournament) by Christino(m): 8:57am On Sep 27, 2006
@ Toosyno,

I was expecting an alliance between u n Tianshie shocked

Judges so far:

Chris, Muki & Drusilla.

Kaydee & Aloib should lead the Jury. Toosyno has dropped against guys here before, can I say he won't be partial in his jurisdiction?

The judges have no right to individually comment on/attack/criticise rappers or their rap lines. The judges can only make a comment based on "agreement".Impartialty is the key, everyone stands on ground zero and integrity and fame have nothing to do with this tourney.

The Jury however may or may not directly comment on but not attack/criticise. Rappers have unlimited rights - it's their tournament.

Maximum participation is key. Please inform all your friends and even fellow rappers who are not on NL. 10th of October is so close you'd wake up one day to see long lines of RAP without knowing it. Let's count on us all to play our part so we can have a fun-filled "real" competition.

Cheers.

Muki's on maternity leave "for a week!"
