Arsenal came back from Roma successful and resumes their bid to take over Aston Villa and anyone else should Cheksli and liverpool drop points The gunners finally ended a sequence of four successive goalless draws by winning 3-1 at  West Brom in their last match.With Villa's recent blip in form , another three points will see them leapfrog Villa into 4th place.

The gunners were unbeaten in  17 matches before losing to Roma in 90 mins, and ended up winning them in a nerve wrecking penalty shoot out but they are unbeaten in 18 domestic matches in all competitions. Eduardo will miss this match due to injury, fabregas  and Adebayor are still out . even though the latter and former United defender silvestre are both close to a first team return

Sam Alladyce's Blackburn came 2-1 from behind to beat Fulham away in their last league outing. In their last five matches, Blackburn have won two, drawn one and lost two , their third successive league match without a loss.They are currently ranked 15 on the table , two points behind Hull City in 14th place. They will be without Brett Emerton and Steven Reid  who both suffer from Knee injuries.


Arsenal demolished Blackburn 4-0 earlier this season at Ewood Park, and last season’s Arsenal vs Blackburn fixture saw the Gunners victorious 2-0. A win for both teams is absolutely vital for differing reasons; Arsenal are just three points behind 4th placed Aston Villa and so a win against the Rovers would put them into 4th place, if even for a day. I have just done my predictions for the weekend games at work and i have tipped Arsenal for a narrow win!
Blackburn pack a lot of weight and i am worried about how we are going to deal with it
But fingers crossed, we cant afford to lose especially as Aston Villa look set to be drawing, as they are playing a relegation battling Tottenham side!

Though am a manutd fan, i feel this match should certainly be a stroll in the pack for Arsenal. Blackburn is with Roque Santa Cruz (who ended manutd's 14 straight clean sheets) and a couple of injury problems.
