I would like to see Amodu play a team like this.

Enyeama

Adefemi Yobo Adeleye Taiwo

Mikel Olofinjana

Kalu Uche

Ike Uche Obasi

WHY?

From our last few matches with Tunisia, I notice the Tunisians have the following tactics:

a) When Nigeria is with the ball - rush to the guy with the ball and zonal mark (at least 4 players should join the locality and mark everyone out).

b) When they have the ball - they attack and fall down at the slightest tackle.

The best approach to beat this guys when we are with the ball is to:

1) Tap it around Barcelona style (i.e. early release of the ball and movement of team mates)
2) Switch wings.

So we need a team of good ball jugglers and holders. Players with good passing accuracy and dribbling skills to get out of tight positions, hence the 4 selected upfront are highly skillful.

We also need to fall a few times 30 metres from their goal post so that TT can banana.

Adeleye can play centre and left backĀ  (he is that good grin) since we know TT would go forward anyway and have lapses.

The ball would have to be played to feet most times though as the forward players are not blessed with height. Long ranges will only be possible if being played into space e.g. counter attacks where there is space on the wings.

A change of formation to 4-3-3 would also be good as the Tunisians are used to us playing 4-4-2.

The midfield trio, on thier day, are also good at attacking, which is what we need to do as this is a must win game.

Leaving the sidebacks to feel free to join the attack.

valid point about sharp midfield play but IMO i think ur 4mation has 2 many DM, me thinks play either mikel or seyi in holdin midfield role and draft kanu or obasi alongside kalu uche, rest of team pretty much picks it self

In the first formation, with Mikel and Olofin in the middle it gives the sidebacks freedom to go forward and I think both have propensity to do so.

In the second, in an attacking play, Olofin and Mikel are capable of going forward and Kaita can just sit there.

According to KickOff Nigeria

It appears Amodu is going with my primary formation above.

So if we lose, it is all my fault. grin
