i had a similar experience after i used the same kind of oil from an Ap filling station. My car is a benz c280,after the change of oil,it started bringing out while fumes and fuel from the exhaust ,infact the white fumes smells like fuel,i realised it the next day,and drain the oil and got a differnt engine oil and that solves the problem.I will advice u change ur oil as soon as possible.

All the best.

This is not bad yet, but tell me specifically what your mechanic did during service, and what type of oil& filter he used.
I drive a V8 too, the engine is tough.
Let first get the codes

Change the oil to a 5w30, if you can't find on use a 10w30(won't use nothing else).Search for a Mobil engine oil; you'll need 6 quarts which is about 5.5litre, so you'll have to put 5litres first check then top off.
But first you have to get the codes by turning your key(on&off) to position 2 (do not start engine) 3 times. on third turn your DTC will show up in the odometer screen, post that first. If everything was fine before then, dtc will show which plugs are fouled.
Your temp gage should be around middle 215F max. Check coolant level when its running listen for the fan to come on, if it looks fine rinse out the radiator fins, might be clogged.
I will post some links on your jeep, there is a huge database of knowledge out there.

I suggest people should stay off AP oils for now angry,  I drive a Benz and my mechanic uses AP oils whenever i go for servicing, so i when i took my wife's Honda BabyBoi for servicing 2wks back, i asked her mech to use AP's Super V.

U can not imagine what happened afterward on my way home,   the car started vibrating, and had black smoke emitting from the exhaust.

When I said clean radiator, I meant using a water hose to spray the cooling fins so that more air pass through in case its clogged.Temp going past middle is something I experienced once on traffic.

If you need any other info, type it in the search function of jeepsunlimited. No matter what problem you have someone has gone through it.

Everything posted on the codes point to cylinder #1(front right)
http://www.allpar.com/mopar/47.html

Check the wire going to fuel injector and spark plug on cylinder #1, it is the incomplete burn from that cylinder that is triggering a fault from the o2 sensor.Visually inspect engine and airbox(make sure there is a filter in there)

Different manufacturers have different part# for filters, the one you need might have 16 as in PH16, ST16, TG16(go by manfacturers recommendation)

The black smoke means your engine is burning more fuel and the particles is excess carbon.
Try using Mobil XHP instead, and for the OBD indicator, run a scan on the car is the best you can do.

kind regards.

I think it all started from cyl one(coil or plugs), you'll be sure when you reset your OBD

Thanks for the call and your intervention has been immense.I already reset the OBD and can't pull any error code afterwards.

Will continue on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-376545.0.html so anyone with similar problem can keep a close tab.

Thank so much

When you start driving it will come back(if there is any problem ), then you'll know what is wrong.

Hi Sultaan, I saw one of your posts where you helped a member decode his Car Audio System that was locked after the battery was disconnected. I am having the same problem with my Honda Accord V5 1999 Model. The VIN is 1HGCG1657WA015245. Please help. Thanks a million. My email is adeken223@yahoo.com

You'll have to search for a white sticker with your code number in the glove box, or fuse boxes. If you can find it pull the radio and post the serial number(someone will come through)

Like I had told you earlier on this issue;

1. Drain the AP Oil and use recommended oil.
2. Change Oil Filter (buy original)
3. Get a rewire to reset your Brainbox.

All those sensors are controled by the brainbox and it struggles to balance them all, so after a tune-up, or troubleshooting, Reset it.
