URUGUAY Vs FRANCE France begins what many would describe as a “tainted” World Cup campaign this Friday when they take on fellow group A constituents Uruguay at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town. With Les Bleus turning in several dismal performances in their friendly campaign and Uruguay on the rise, this is one of the most intriguing matches of the groups stage. Can Diego Forlán and Las Charrúas utilize their brash attacking style or will Ribery, Henry, and Anelka rally to exploit the vulnerable Uruguayan defense? What are your predictions? |

France will win this one(easily), i dont care how bad their preparation has been, football is unpredictable and we have the right players to go all the way to the finale! as soon as this match is over, the mechanic will set in and we sail all the way through. unfortunately my 3 teams are in group A and B so by the end of the second round, there might only be one left, hopefully not! also i've got a 100$ on a 20/1 bet for France to win the WC. ********going on one knee and praying******** |

^^^^^^^France of 8yrs ago was sh*ite, we didnt even pass the first round due to the big headedness of our previous WC win. . . . . . . . . . BUT WE STILL MANAGED A DRAW WITH URUGUAY(at our worst). in Germany we had to get back to being humble and play FOOTBALL instead of them being superstars. |

^^^^^^^ if this happens i will take my FFF lifetime membership card and burn it for good! as for "Raymond la chance", out of 3 big tournaments, he got us to the finale (2006) was a fiasco (2008) and got us qualified so far(2010) he took charge of the team when it was sh*ite and made it great again. after 6 yrs, i would say he did ok. LB will be the new breeze of fresh air needed for the team. my concern for this WC is that when/if we pass the first stage, we'll meet either Argentina or Nigeria (team to qualify from group B)! ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!!!!!! |

I'll go for Uruguay. They met in '02 and it was a goaless draw. Truthfully, i dont see Les Blues making it out of this group. Against a Uruguayan side with lethal finishers in Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan, France are dead. |

Uruguay has never won a world cup match since 1990 However france has never defeated any team from the South Americas , So my prediction is that, Nigeria will defeat Argentina and loose to Greece and Korea |

Guys, I'm on a short vacation in Naija and watching with my folks. I don't understand why most Naija football fans think the Coach's decision not to start Henry Thiery is not a good Idea. The french side is a near complete team with all that array of stars apart from the little problem with ageing players in the back line like the Naija team  . |
