CHOOSE WHERE YOU TRAVEL WISELY “BEWARE OF RACISTS & CAMPUS BULLIES!

The UNITED NATIONS and other Humanitarian Agencies have consistently ranked Canada alongside the United States as two of the safest countries for international students to study. In these countries, their Gun laws are very tight, so crime is extremely lower especially on their University and College campuses. They also operate States, Counties, Communities and Campus policing with high-tech crime fighting forces who usually respond within some minutes of alert. To back the claim up, the United States and Canadian citizens are rated (In a recent World Students Opinion Polls) as some of the friendliest, generous, welcoming and gregarious people in the World. However, thousands of misleading advertorials in circulation about free tuition study abroad have rendered uncountable African & Asian students stranded or even dead in an unknown countries, while some of them have had their intentions changed from schooling towards prostitution and drug dealings. On Sunday,18th of January,Year-2009, Shefiu Salaudeen was stabbed to death in Lviv,Ukraine around 8p.m while waiting at the bus stand to board a bus home. In Taman Connaught Cheras,Malaysia, two Nigerian students were found dead in their room on the 5th of October, the Year 2007.The victims were identified as Olugboja Emannuel Olawale and Abbas Alhaji. They were freshmen at the University College, Sedaya International (UCSI), Malaysia. These are very few accounts of brutal racial attacks being carried out by the Skin-Heads Racial Groups towards (Especially Black and Indian) students. Skin-heads are usually found in some parts of Malaysia, Ukraine, UK, Finland, Russia, Australia, Germany and Singapore. They often think that girls prefer foreign students since they are better off in Education, Religion, Seriousness to work and family life.

THE NEW STUDENT VISA INTERVIEW PROCESSES "WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT IT?”

The relationship between the United States and Canada is the closest and the most extensive in the World, as well as in people to people contacts. Approximately 300,000 people, including international students and expatriates cross their shared borders everyday. Hence, they work hand in hand in entry visa issues. Apparently, all foreign students in North America have 98% more opportunity to be successful in lives than their counterparts in Africa, Asia and some European countries because they enjoy the systems of government known as " The Universal Access " Which means all have the same access, rich or poor. Over the years, the opportunity of becoming an international student in North America is being enjoy exclusively by the children of the educated upper-class people since the poor and the uneducated do not have the resources to immigrate. Ironically, thousands of outstanding students from wealthy-homes have also had their student visa denied as a result of insubstantial capabilities. A student might come from a wealthy-family with outstanding credentials but the student-visa could be denied. To go to school in the US and CANADA requires you to meet the same academic standards as an American applicant and to have the means to pay for it. In all, the United States and Canada immigrations are some sort of dynamic fields with rigid laws which 98% of prospective applicants may never be able to understand without the skill of a research orientated admission counsellors.

CANADA & THE UNITED STATES : THE BEST DESTINATIONS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Every International Students upon their arrivals in Canada and the United States Of America are usually over pamper with kindness and attention by their host institutions and by the North American communities in general.Jumoke Ogunrinde, a Nigerian high-school graduate (Queens College,Yaba) who migrated to Canada as a foreign student on the 14th of September, year-2009 was offered an off-campus employment (after 6-months of arrival) by a Chattanooga,Tennessee based International Charity. She crossed over to Canada under the New General Student Visa Route which permit foreign students to study, bring dependents or other accompanying persons and work for 20hrs per week. In addition, international students who completes Bachelors Masters or Research courses and who are in possession of a valid student-visa can remain and work in North America for up to 6-years and could apply for Permanent Resident Permit (GREEN CARD) withing the said period. The United States & Canada governments encourage foreign nationals permanent immigration but the process to qualify can take 4-years for Canada applicants and 10-years for United States applicants. Unknown to many, this opportunity is being targeted towards international students and expatriates and interestingly,a bonafide international student could qualify for the GREEN CARD PAPER with ease but upon graduation and without any criminal record. According to a recent survey by NASFA, it was recorded that foreign students and their families yearly contribute more than $15 and $8.5 billion to the United States and Canada economiesrespectively. Thus foreign students are an important revenue sources for both North American countries.

Thanks jooo, this is my little way to help my blood brothers and sisters across the world

Some cases of Nigerian students murdered abroad:
http://www.nathanielturner.com/nigeriansbloodontheirhands.htm Olubukola Osiyemi, Motunrayo Oguntuase, Eugene Ejike Obiora, and Osamuyia Aikpitanhi murdered in Spain and France respectively

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Damilola_Taylor Murder of Damilola Taylor in the UK in d yr 2000 -----quote by Dami during his life time “I will travel far and wide to choose my destiny and remould the world, I know it is my destiny to defend the world, which I hope to achieve during my lifetime” Wowwww I love this quote but he was never allowed to defend his real world. What a pity!

http://africannewslive.com/?p=11673 Olawale Oladimeji Oladipo gunned down in US recently, my brothers and sisters this simply means that no country is absolutely safe but Nigerians in Diaspora need to be extra careful wherever we find yourselves.

I will advice Nigerians who wish to travel to Asia and Europe in particular and probably North America to conform to a humble spirit. e.g: The cops ask you for your passport, that doesn’t mean they are racists. Just smile and show it to them. But of course a Nigerian will ask on top of his voice: “why do you want to see my passport?”, “are you calling me a criminal?” and all unnecessary ways to handle simple issues just as you do expect of a typical Nigerian. Be careful of which Nigerians you mingle with, don’t walk alone at night in lonely streets, respect yourself and others and you’ll not have any problems with foreigners, because these people have far less brutal instincts than an average Nigerian does, And they’re most likely to fear / respect us than otherwise. As for those who travel for illegal activities, I hope they someday understand that the money, efforts and time they expend to be travel is enough to fetch them something far worth the while in Naija.

Be reminded that the Nigerian government is only powerful at home. Hence the saying: “A dog is a lion in his house”. Out here, the government cannot help you. Forget about “Giant of Africa”, “Oil” and whatever reason(s) would make you believe you can get away with crime. No one knows anything glorious about Nigeria / Africa out here. Make sure your pursuits are legal, portray good human courtesy and you’ll be well treated wherever you go regardless of where you’re from. After all, being nice to people does not mean being a coward, it goes a longer way repairing Nigeria’s reputation than holding demonstrations. Finally, I hope we can learn from others’ experiences. I deeply regret the death of many fortunate Nigerians who met their waterloo in Diaspora because many lack the info that might have helped them. May their gentle souls rest in perfect peace. Gbammmmmmmmmmmmmm over and out

if you're going to study abroad(usa), you'll need serious help. here's an article that would really help when you become a student abroad:

10 WEBSITES TO HELP NIGERIAN STUDENTS IN DIASPORA
Being a foreign student is not an easy task. Some Nigerian students are lucky if they have relatives abroad they can stay with to offer them guidance. Others are thrust right in the middle of it all, not understanding where to start and who to turn to for help. The only thing they do know is that they must enroll in school and maintain a certain amount of credit in order to stay legal in the country. Fortunately, there is little bit of help available to foreign students. This help comes in the form of advice, scholarships, insurance coverage, and travel grants among other services.
OF COURSE SOME OF THESE THINGS ARE NOT FREE (AFTERALL, THIS AMERICA) MAKE YOU OPEN YOUR EYE WELL WELL.

Below are 10 websites which are solely dedicated to providing services or information to foreign students.
