fstranger3:You previously mentioned Rutgers on here a few times, so I just wikipedia'd it, assuming there would be a few pics of its most well known or important buildings. |

fstranger3:Wikipedia's page on Princeton. The pic there matches up with one that you posted. And of course, the Harold and Kumar hint. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ArchewayLantern.JPG http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princeton_University "Many campus buildings have Neo-gothic archways and lanterns. Seen here is Blair Arch, the largest and most famous archway on campus." Also, I think SEFAGO said that you were at Princeton at some point. |

SEFAGO:I wouldn't know. I just assumed that since he's clearly a physician or going to be a physician and seems to have been at Princeton after Rutgers that they do indeed study medicine at Princeton. I could be wrong. |

PhysicsMHD:Dont believe anything SEFAGO says. Although they mentioned Princeton in Harold and Kumar, the film was actually shot in Canada I think. And No, Princeton does not have a medschool nor a law school. SEFAGO:You dont know what you are talking about. Trust me. |

So if you had to rank Nigerian universities, fstranger? |
| Re: Ramano: You Ask Why University Of Ilorin Was Rated First 1st In Nigeria. by fstranger3(m): 1:00am On Mar 03, 2011 |
Very difficult because they, like the rest of the world, have their strengths and weakness. UI comes top overall, IMO, then OAU, then may be Unilag, then maybe Benin/Nsukka, then may be ABU That said, I dont know much about ABU. Apparently, ABU is supposed to be a top notch university that attracts the best brains from the North. So, Abu may be on par with Benin and Nsukka, who knows. One thing that is clear is that OAU and UI tower above the rest, UI best overall except in Engineering where OAU is better. Unilag's engineering is actually great though but overall OAU attracts the best brains in Nigeria. People only talk about Ilorin because they more or less have predictable schedule less prone to strikes and unnecessary closure that have now become trademark at other schools, more so in OAU than UI and Unilag. Unilag Vs. OAU , other than Engineering, everything else in Unilag is more or less crap. Although, the funniest thing is that when Nigerians talk about which school is better, they are more or less talking in relative terms. They rank the greatness or for lack of better words, the "goodness" of Nigerian universities by how difficult it is to graduate vis a vis how many students graduate with first class per each graduating class. So, putting that into consideration, it is generally believed that UI faculty are the strictest in the country, and that they graduate the fewest first class students in the country. Other than that, IMO, there isnt anything great about Nigerian universities. people just cram and regurgitate what they've been taught, and the quality is the same everywhere. The only thing is that UI and OAU attract the best students, going by JAMB scores, from all over Nigeria. And if JAMB score is anything to go by, it used to be unreliable, not sure about now though That said, for me, given the choice between a community college and even UI/OAU, I'd take the community college, thank you. So to answer your question: OAU = UI >>>>>>>>>>> Unilag> Uniben = Nsukka = Abu > Ilorin > FUTA> NAU>state schools = some private schools> then the rest- other Northen schools> YabaTech>Ibadan poly> then Northern Universities>Kad poly> then the rest |

Engineering---UNN. Law---OAU. Mass Comm--Unilag/UNN. Every other dept, Unibadan clearly leads. Nevertherless, this thread belongs to education section. |
