Rihanna & P.diddy's Comment About Their Visit To Naija. by Akiika: 11:51pm On Jul 22, 2007
I need you guys to confirm Rihanna's story, i watched 106 & park on BET on Fri(07/20), she claimed her visit to Naija was rough and indeed she and the other artistes couldn't use the water to brush their teeth, they used bottled water to do everything. P.Diddy on the same day said it's all poverty in Naija. I wouldn't really blame this packaged artistes that couldn't even write their own songs when the no. 3 man in Naija govt. and most governors are not busy to attend the purposeless show(that of last year) with their babariga.

I think the organizers are solely to blame. The stars should have been lodged in a 5 star hotel in Lagos.

You really think they will be lodged in any lower star hotel, i don't think so. I'm sure it's either Eko Le Meridien or Nicon Noga or whatever it's called now.

i dont believe this. Yes Nigeria aint no Dubai, but come on angry
They would have been put in the nicest hotels in naija, which are very nice and cannot be compared to the worst part of nigeria. Theyre acting like they were living in the village.

Have u got a link to this story Atiika.

somebody posted one with diddy on another thread. when i watched it, i was like man. p. diddy was like he went to south africa and nigeria and that south africa and nigeria are two totally diferent countries and that nigeria is going down or something like that. people live in proverty and all he did was make us look bad. he could at least said that the nigerians enjoyed his stupid concert. for rihanna, for her to open her bloody mouth and to say what she did. is her country 100 percent better. well, we shouldn't worry about what they said because when jay-z, beyonce, and busta rhymes came, they enjoyed nigeria. busta rhymes for himself liked nigeria. he said that people in america always talking about how bad nigeria is, but he said that nigeria is a very beautiful country. so we should forget about the negetivity of two people and focus on the positive.

Having bought the almighty "only America's got da best mentality" and killing ourselves to bring the American stars to our shores, if they decide to diss us I sure won't blame them. I'm yet to hear Lagbaja, Sound Sultan etc say anything derogatory about Naija. If they insult us it's because we gave them the leverage to.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh che i MY GOD, can you imagine pots calling kettle black, just because they`re now making it ,they think they can just open their stupid foul mouths to point fingers to other peoples lives indicating what they, once went through, and that one that looks like frog or chimpazee.diddy or wat do they call him.needs to be taught some manners on public speaking, anyway l dont blame them.l blame the organizers and most of us nigerians that makes them feel like kings and queens in our land whereas the richest ones amongst us over there are treated badly.Nigeirans will never learn, why re we inviting people like that have eyes bigger than their brains, and yet we find it difilcult to promote our artistes here to other countries. How many of them ve gone to Ghana.abeg.make we stop this rubbish o abeggg.its irritating,

Um, I don't understand the anger?

Nigeria is NO picnic basket.

They didn't DISS the Nigerian people themselves. They said that the country wasn't in a good state.

Hmm, what's that old proverb, a hit dog will yell. I guess they hit the spot!
Re: Rihanna & P.diddy's Comment About Their Visit To Naija. by whiteroses(f): 11:15am On Aug 27, 2007
i hate two face people both stars were interviewed backstage and they said they loved it so much rhianna said she would definately come again maybe it's true their lodge is bad but no matter how bad it is i dont believe the water thing but i cant blame them they are just scared cos they watch bad tv documentary in the states so they probably think the water is pumped directly from the beach or river
Re: Rihanna & P.diddy's Comment About Their Visit To Naija. by Young15(m): 9:15pm On Aug 30, 2007
lol the eko hotel is a bunch of bullshit the service there is complete crap, i went on a buisness trip with my pops. using the presidential shuite. the people are just lousy. continous generator cut. and 4 u dumb folk the water in nigeria is very different from the water elsewhere. it contains so many chemicals. if you use dishwashers it would ruin you cutlery ! when i first came to nigeria in december 2006 i couldn't drink the tap water, even till today because its just 2 damn artificial !!!!! they should have been put in the sheraton hotel, thats a real hotel. if eko is a so called 5 star then sheraton should be a 6 star!!!!
