South Africa Visa Application Delay by Embercreek(m): 9:27am On May 28, 2011
Does anyone have an idea why there is a delay in the south African visa application, I applied on the 10th of may and up until now my visa isn't ready and I am meant to go for a program between 28 may and 2nd June 2011. I'm confused!

Don't know when I would get my package back and I'm even worried if ild get the visa since the program I'm going for has past.

Pls anyone?
Re: South Africa Visa Application Delay by Nobody: 9:36am On May 28, 2011
delaying your application is a polite way of denying you visa

Hmm if you were suppose to leave Nigeria btw 28 may and you turned in your application 10th may, likely you might be refused because there has been a big delay, they might refuse you the visa, reason: what you are going for has taken place so there is no need for them to issue you the visa. Also take note, it now takes up to a month and 2 wks to get your passport back from the south African high commission.
Re: South Africa Visa Application Delay by Embercreek(m): 12:33pm On May 30, 2011
It's actually not my first visa, I got my previous visa less than 5 days of submitting my application so it's kind of surprising.
If the prossecing time has changed it is very important for the embassy to let the applicants know at least. You can imagine in my case where I have paid for the program I'm attending, hotel and even taken time off from work,

Well the delay is not bad enough but my application being rejected? I really don't think that should be my fault cos I wasn't informed, The least they can do is just to issue me the visa, so I won't have to go through the application stress again for some other 1 week trip.
Re: South Africa Visa Application Delay by Embercreek(m): 5:13pm On Jun 02, 2011
Finally i got a call from the south african embassy that my passport is ready for pick up. Although i applied on the 10th of may and i got the visa on the 2nd of june, the high commission issued me a 6month multiple visa when i applied and asked for one month single entry.

lets say, it was worth the wait grin

Next stop is to book a flight, and oh yea!! grab some jackets and gloves as its very cold in the south at the moment wink

Re: South Africa Visa Application Delay by Embercreek(m): 9:48am On Jun 12, 2011
First of all, this mr president is such a cow and his animal instinct is obviously taking over.
I remember the first post I did if you all scroll up, he was already discouraging about the visa that I won't get it, which I eventually did and now he created a link for you morons, what does it take to create a link on flickr?
I am not looking for clients to call me up, I'm just having fun here so I have no reason to lie, the person you all should watch out for is your mr president, his act has now told me so much about the kind of person he his.
I will post some other pictures I took with and also a copy page of my passport to prove you haters wrong.
And ps I took those pics with an iPhone 4 so if u havnt met such gadget yet, Get used to it.
And pls nobody should contact me pertaining to visa, I'm not an agent, I'm just having fun here.
The person you all should watch out for is mr president he's a fraud and what he's doing is mere marketing.
Be warned!!!!
Re: South Africa Visa Application Delay by Embercreek(m): 10:27am On Jun 12, 2011
Here are my visa pages, (i have edited my name and passport number so people like mr president wont do justice) .the first is the 3months i got initially and the second is the new 6months visa that was issued to me and some other images taken randomly , i am not looking for clients so you dont need to contact me i beg you, i am not a travel agent, just sharing my experience, and if you would believe mr president who is scarving for clients and would do anything to convince them,, then thats your business. The flickr page he posted was absolutely created, trust me and dont be a fool.
im sure with this personal images ive loaded, it would take mr president no time to create some other flicker page, Hungry Bastard! tongue

Hi Embercreek,I think this pictures are enough for me to see that you were not lying. The only thing that you probably did wrong was using a picture that was taken 10 years earliar and post it as if its yours. It is winter in SA,and our winter is very dry, nothing is green in this times, only in springs,Autumn and summer you find our vegitation greener as you can see on your other photos.

Enjoy your stay, there is a lot to see.You should also try Durban,it is not as cold as the rest of the country.Welkom!!
