1. Engine Coolant
2. Engine Oil
3. Brake Fluid
4. Transmission Fluid
5. Windshield Washer

I went to Auto Zone yesterday and purchased the aforementioned fluids including Automatic Transmission Fluid. Pictures coming up shortly.

Note to Piedpiper: Each of the engine oil pictured below contains 5 Quarts of oil. But 6 Quarts is required for a complete oil change for your SUV. So your mechanic should always use 5 quarts plus 1. He may already know this.

Everything applies to your Toyota. The oil in particular should be 5W-30 as shown. That's why I bought enough for two oil changes. The light will also be taken care of.

I have settled on the 25th to improve our chances of getting a spot. Most Vessels leaving earlier are already full but the agents may not tell you that.

The commission is fixed but you will get discounts in other areas. For instance at the directive of the Nigerian government, shipping companies in the US no longer charge CTN fee. So that's a savings of $125 in shipping for you.

Yes, Honda has a similar auction. In fact 2 years ago, they provided the best deals in town. But not anymore. For now, Toyota provides the best deals. Their auction list comes out on Fridays. Contact me then if interested.

Piedpiper's 2002 Sequoia was safely delivered to Baltimore Port on Monday November 14, 2011. Due to Port congestion, vessel departure date was shifted from November 25 to 27. Below is an email I received from the shipping company regarding that:

Due to ports congestion in West Africa, vessel (name removed) is delayed 2 days.

Your Sequoia is now at the Port as I mentioned earlier. Cut-off date is November 21 and your SUV was delivered on the 14th well ahead of the cut-off date. So there is more than a 90% chance we will get in.

Regarding the oil change, lubrication and other services, we have 3 options:

1. Have them done by your mechanic in Port-Harcourt
2. Have them done by my mechanic in Lagos
3. Have them done by Carshopper's mechanic in Lagos

The choice is yours.

I just got off the phone with the shipping company. They said the load list will be ready tomorrow. The load list will indicate the cars that made it on the vessel. Since we were 2 weeks early, I believe we will make it. I will provide an update tomorrow.

I called the shipping company again today and they said the load list is still not ready. They asked me to call back on Thursday. The fact that they are talking about load list is good news. At least that means the vessel is not delayed.
