Farouk Lawan: Can we have the KPMG REPORT?
Okonjo: I have to go through the report first
Diezieni: I have not seen the report

Farouk Lawan: What is the production capacity of our local refineries?’
NNPC: 30%
PPPRA: 20%
DPR: 13%

Farouk Lawan: Does Nigeria pay subsidy on locally refined Products?

NNPC: The lay man cannot understand how it’s done
PPPRA: yes
DPR: No

Good show OP.

The deceit and the fraud is being exposed and shown up for what it really is: a house of graft and sleaze built on quicksand.

My only regret is that Nigerians are a truly sad and broken lot who do not have the moral fibre or the strength of character to INSIST on accountability from their leaders and officials. That is what is heartbreaking in all of this. We don't have the backbone to stand and fight the good fight. We can't go the distance. We have no staying power. We just haven't got what it takes.

What more evidence is needed? There have been several probes and counter-probes over the last few years in which Nigerian public officials have come on camera to confirm our worst suspicions about how key public institutions are being run. If this is not a call to action I do not know what is. How much lower must we sink before we realize we are drowning?

The legislative hearing will be concluded, there will be more sensational headlines etc. but NOBODY will go to jail. NOBODY will be dragged out and shot. I challenge Nigerians to prove me wrong. I challenge Nigerians to warn their councillors and representatives in the House & Senate that if someone is not held to account, THEY (Senators and House of Reps members) will face the consequences, starting with a petition for immediate recall. (And that will just be the beginning)

But I know am wasting my time. In 2015, (if the country still exists) I know the "largest party in Africa" will win again with the full support of Nigerians. And the cycle of madness will begin anew.

Broken country, broken people.

See the people we call leaders. They are not interested in knowing and doing their jobs well. They are just concerned about their personal businesses, how to loot anything lootable in their custody.

How can they plan and execute the plans when they don't have the correct and uniform data? Therein lies the travails of this country. Oh Nigeria! sad sad

What does this tell you about the claim that fuel is being subsidised at all.

The best experts on the subject are General Buhari(rtd) and Professor Tam David West, and both have made it clear that it is a lie to say that government has ever subsidsed fuel.

The reason that there are so many inconsistencies is because, the whole concept of subsidy is a lie.

Question then remains is why the government is claiming to subsidise fuel when they are not.

There was no subsidy in prof tam west's time, but subsidy started when govt started selling crude to nnpc at international price.

Re: Abracadabra! The More You See The Less You Understand! by Nobody: 12:17am On Jan 29, 2012
@ade_77
Yes the scam of supposedly selling crude to NNPC was started by the criminal looter known as Obasanjo who made himself oil minister so that siphone away oil revenue and who till this day has ensured that his accounts were never audited.

In anycase why would they sell crude to NNPC at internationl prices, is NNPC a foreign country? undecided

Please then explain the date any government ever announced the they were starting to subsidise fuel.

Do you see the PDP government as the type of government that would subsidse anything for the sake of the welfae of the masses?

Why then was Gen Buhari able to sell fuel without subsidy at approx N00.40 kobo per litre at a time he was only earning approx $26 per barrel of crude oil from export.

Yet our present PDP deceitful government who are enjoy export earning on crude oil prices of upto $100 per barrel are selling fuel N97 per litre and are still claiming that they are subsdising fuel.
