The front page of two national newspapers today (Guardian & Punch of 15th Feb 2012) carried the unthinkable: pictures of lawyers collecting their call to bar certificates under trees ! Over 2 decades ago I received mine in the cosy V.I Main Lecture theatre when the D-G Mr Ibironke called my full names and Kayode Esho JSC as he then was presented me my certificate. Has our country descended into such a filthy pit?

A tree is d ideal place !!! Tree looks like umbrella which is PDP logo=d ruling party in Naija.So tree covers all of dem & it represents an improvised PDP logo naa !! Dats how corruption=bane of Naija has turned d country in2,so so sad & pathetic !

That is the state of the nation. This is the more reason why you should not blame the police man that was not well equipped for bomb/IED disposal who was blown up a few days ago in Kaduna. May be the  lawyers should have refused to collect their certificates under a tree, abi?.

We all know there's a lot of decay as you put it. But you don't get blown to pieces by collecting your certificate under a tree! You can even have your certificated typed on a cardboard paper and still go home later and have dinner with your family, that is way better than having your life snuffed out in an instant.

You can as well suggest that all the security forces in Nigeria should go on strike or stage a protest for poor or lack of equipment to work with. Is this a bad idea?

Not a bad idea, but in the meant time if they can't diffuse bombs let pay foreign experts to do it for them, lest they all kill themselves.

And we should also employ foreign leaders to run the country for us since the leaders have failed to provide equipment for our security forces.

Now you are talking my brother, or on the other hand, we stop electing fools as our leaders and stop embracing mediocrity and the standard of lowest common denominator. We are humans like others.
