Putindbutt: What they will call what?. Listen, whether or not it is fake news or true, the coup did not succeed, infact, it was just a rumour of planning a coup, There was nothing actionable or concrete that had been done. No blood shed, no killings, no hijack, no movements, no deployment, NoTHiNg whatsoever!. So, don't compare with the 1966 that was the first and bloodiest in the history of the country and the event that damaged the unity and brotherhood of the military. Stop spreading fake news. It was not the bloodiest. The counter coup was. If after having your revenge, you still dwell in the past, good for you. Where was the unity of the country when Akintola was stoned in Kano for canvassing for independence? Where was the unity when in 1957, some people opposed Nigeria's move towards independence? Was Pa Enahoro an Igbo man? Make una sofrey dey lie abeg |

Exousiang01: Like I said your hunger is not the biggest problem in Nigeria. If you are hungry go and find food. We are talking about structures and buildings which is something obviously beyond your comprehension. You are actually talking about leadership and standards. The same way tinubu opposed fuel subsidy removal in 2012, and ended up removing the subsidy without any plan to protect the poor. Same way he opposed petroleum tax and is now planning to introduce it. So before pointing fingers, please check well. |

Politics › Re: Dollar Was Never Around N150 In 2010 by Nigerianization(m): 7:03pm On Jul 02, 2025 |
helinues: That lies have been flying around for some time whenever some people want to question why the dollar rate currently is above N1500.
The truth is, during the time of naira to dollar N150, it was subsidized dollar as the then president didn't want the rate to go unnecessary higher during his time, they kept subsidizing while the then CBN governor and his cronies were reselling to other countries. It even got to a time we were borrowing just to meet up with the fake N150 rate.
Buhari stopped the borrowing, even though there were still subsidizing, we started seeing N355 rate, as the subsidizing money was reducing, the rate continue going up
President Tinubu came, he said we are not going to subsidized the dollar again, let the real price show it's face and the market will take care of the rest.
Without borrowing, without subsidy, the real actual Dollar rate as from 2023 when president Tinubu took over was N1500. As at this time last year, Naira to dollar rate was around N1535. As at today's rate it's around N1560
Naira to dollar rate 2024 N1535 Naira to dollar rate 2025 N1560
Can we see the stability in the naira to dollar rate under this government? Can you beat your chest and say that the dollar is currently not being subsidized? That fuel subsidy is truly gone? |

With Obi on the ticket, Tinubu will struggle to win in the south while he won't be able to defeat Atiku in the north. It's just common sense and strategy. Ordinarily, I would want Obi to become the president in 2027 but this is the reality unless we want to be sentimental a d emotional. Unfortunately, emotions don't win elections. So why can't the North wait for their turn? Must the south always sacrifice for it? |

Decentralization of aviation Lmaooo? Are you serious? Lmaooo
Oga subsidy has been been removed oga petrol would be ₦1700 minimum if subsidy was removed Well, we run a democracy and he can lobby individuals and groups to get things done. If you see it as begging, some others will see it as lobbying. The boldness is in sticking to it despite the push backs. If he doesn't follow due process, na we go still complain. If the decentralization of aviation college is not boldness to you, how do you explain the citing of almost all military institutions in the North. Lastly, we now refine locally so there is no empirical data to support your claim of fuel prices rising to 1,700 naira. |

Sharpsharp00123: presidobi
No b Wetin I Dey always tell u b this?
What does obi want to offer the north that tinubu can't offer them? Constitutionally tinubu has just one term left but if d north should give it to an Igbo especially someone who supports ipob n nnamdi kanu, he will use 8 years making 12 years the north will wait n an Igbo will even want to scatter things which d northerners don't want Leave Obi matter, let's not personalize it. Truth is that the North never thought that Asiwaju is this bold and they fear for what his second term might bring if he can strip them of so many benefits this early. If you go by benefits, Obi can offer the north something better. The North like to be pampered, Jonathan did it but they wanted more, until their own (Buhari) showed them shege, which has been elevated promax by Asiwaju. Obi can pamper them and they can blackmail him but Nigeria will suffer for it. The Northern populace must realize that what is good for their leaders (who masquerade themselves as the people's representatives) is bad for every ordinary Nigerian without political connection. We all suffer from the bad leadership policies of government equally. Asiwaju is giving them the necessary medications and Nigeria will be better for it. Head or tail, he'll do 8 years. P.s I voted for Obi but elections are over and life must go on. |
