Goodbye Nigeria, the evil you have done is enough: A twitter post by a newly recruited Nigerian Nurse to UK This is the latest trend amongst young Nigerians and #nurses who are migrating to explore career opportunities or educational advancement. This kind of post is very wrong and you never can predict the implication of this single post in the next decade of your Career Please if you have passed your international #examination or secured a scholarship, never be so emotional to talk down about your country, it's unpatriotic and it can lead to immediate disapproval of an international #Scholarship, bursary, or Job 3 No International institution wants to identify with an individual who is unpatriotic and unprofessional in his/her communication. No matter the struggles you go through in Nigeria, resist the urge to talk down about your country when you finally travel overseas. You might have 20,000 people retweeting your post because you made that kind of statement above, but trust me, when you get into a deep mess, none of those 20k retweeters will be able to stand to defend you when you are charged. A retweet is never a validation of the veracity of your post 5 Consider every International job opportunity, scholarship, internship or fellowship as an opportunity to accelerate your career and not a final destination. You will not be young forever and the Internet never forgets. ✌ _An opinion post on Facebook: January 2021 by Nurse Princewill Aghedo |
As part of an effort to support Nigerian Nurses explore International opportunities for career and professional development, Empower nurses consult - A leading human capital development organization poised at supporting nurses has raised half a million naira to empower nurses. Following the launch, six (6) nurses were able to get full payment for international examinations and some were empowered to get passports. The fund raising is poised at supporting Nigerian train Nurses to explore international opportunities for career and professional development. Ultimately, this donation is in congurance with the United Nations SDGs 8 & 10 which will help reduce inequalities that exists amongst poor people and help provide decent work opportunities which will lead to Economic Growth. Creating this avenue for Nurses is a seed sown to empower nurses to achieve their dreams to explore cross- continetal opportunist. The future we desire is conceived in the present, the change we desire in our healthcare system won't happen by mere words but by taking intentional and guided actions that project into bringing that to fruition and that is what Empower Nurses Consult seek to achieve.
