The nominations for the 2016 Nigerian Meritorious Awards were announced during a press conference that was held on 11/07/2016 in the nation's capital, Abuja. Over 30 institutions sent in nominees for most of the NIGMA categories.
Several campus representatives have commended the process so far saying it was evident that the organizers of this award program are unbiased and credible in the selection process. In a related development, the team hinted that some outstanding Nigerians and celebrities would also be honoured with the Nigerian Meritorious Awards.
The voting process will be announced very shortly as organizers say the process will "never be manipulated.
