Let me explain; put yourself in his shoes. This is a congregation you have been leading for several years. They have accepted you as God's oracle. You have taught them in numerous Bible studies, prayed for both male and female members to prosper, and invited guest speakers to address financial issues, all so they can be balanced Christians.

And now, you are speaking a fundamental truth, a truth you believe they should have already known by now. In his mind, no female member of his church should still depend on a man; instead, she should depend on God and herself. Yet, they are no longer just saying they depend on a man or their husband. Rather, they are saying that if their man does not provide, other men will.

By saying this, they are effectively telling their pastor: "We will resort to adultery and fornication if the man we depend on does not give us money. We will not listen to you. In fact, we haven't been listening to you this whole time when you taught us to be independent. You, as a man of God, either haven't told us that fornication and adultery are sins, or you have been telling us but we simply choose to ignore that part." They are telling him, "Man of God, all your efforts to take us to heaven have yielded no fruit."

How would you feel if you were that pastor?

Furthermore, the pastor's action is not automatically a curse. It is his way of saying, "I am not a part of that mindset; I have done my part and tried my best." It is just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands of Jesus' crucifixion. He is saying, "If you don't listen, you are on your own." Consequently, any woman who listened, went back home, and refused to commit fornication or adultery just to get a man to foot her bills is exonerated and justified.

Not to mock him ,but people like him also use that word when praising God that some people are sick ,some are dead etc ........but what these religious people failed to understand is that bad things and good things happen to anyone and everyone.

As long as one is alive, you are obligated to praise and thank God for life. It is just gratitude not lack of understanding that bad things happens to anyone; even the bible teaches us that the world is a battle field with several trials, challenges and tribulations. So, when we praise God, we are not saying everything is fine or will automatically be, we are only being grateful for what we have. You can't tell me that because he has gone back to his maker now, his colleagues that are still alive should stop singing praises like the one you stated above to God. Only the living can praise you Lord! So understand this.

I remember while doing Masters Degree in LASU, FRSC are to many on that road. I will have to be explaining that I just got stopped by one of them who have cleared me. If you tried and still got the 2 years suspension, use the 2 years to dive into software engineering. If you do it with all you've got, you will later found out it is an opportunity in disguise. You will never regret it, infact you will be better than many of your mates who may still be wallowing in the labour market.

NOUN is the best when it comes to distance learning. I just started a program in NOUN and the only regret I have is why I haven't tried it since. And they are more recognized abroad.
