Hello house

I’m dearly in need of an accommodation in North Ryde, preferably a place close to Macquarie Uni.

If you know of vacant rooms in shared apartments or if there’s a vacant room in your house, please kindly message me.

Help a sister please, I’m tired paying daily at the Airbnb I’m currently staying at and the houses have been checking out are total disappointments as they’re different from the pictures uploaded online.

Thank you and God bless us all

Now I feel at ease reading this information. Thank you and God bless

Hi Nikky, I am not a student, but I know a few here and I don't think that is an issue. Majority of Intl students change their course when they land to do a course that can get them PR which you might likely do too if your course isn't on the PR list. hence, you will get another CoE, so number of years doesn't matter, when it is about time for your visa to expire, you will apply for visa extension which is what most of them do. So no need to be worried, enjoy your Christmas and celebrate your visa, the good thing is you are in grin. You can message me directly if you have other questions, I am hardly here. Also anyone coming to Adelaide can message me.

Thank you for much for the information,I really appreciate your reply

Softkey:
Since you initially got a COE that stated 2years means the school offer the same course spread for a duration of 2years.
If I’m right about that, then you’re halfway good. Meet with the school admission team upon arrival to change your duration and get new COE. This might probably means you reapplying for a visa. In doing so, you’ll be issued a bridging visa to legally remain in Australia during the process of the new visa which might take time as the normal one. Note that you might not be able to work with the bridging visa hence you need to be highly prepared of the living expenses without work.

Good day everyone, thank you for all the great contributions made on this platform. I have been a beneficiary of the information shared on this platform.

To the good news, I got my study visa grant for a 1 year course in Sydney. I was excited by the grant but the 1 year hasn’t really made me celebrate the good news.

How it happened: initially I got an admission for a 2 year course but due to the delay in visa grant, my admission was deferred to February.
Subsequently, the school issued me a new COE which happened to be for 1 year. I made a mistake of not confirming as it didn’t occur to me there could be a change in the number of years of the course.
I didn’t notice until my Visa grant came through.

To my issue: what are the possibilities around changing my course to get 2 years once I land in Aussie?

Are there other possible solutions you can think of?

Please I need the help of those who may have gone through this in the past or knows someone who had this same issue. Or is there someone currently in this same dilemma?

All input will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Advance.
