As an African in diaspora, I feel both happy and sad to hear this.

Yesterday, Gabon witnessed a military takeover.

This was after the incumbent conducted a sham election where Internet was shut down in order to enable the incumbent 'select' himself as the winner of the election, against the people's will.

It is interesting to note that while all these were transpiring, neither AU nor any of the regional bodies in Africa such as ECOWAS condemned the action of Gabon's incumbent.

But as soon as the military takes over due to the fact that the politicians have bastardized the country's constitution, these bodies will start issuing sanctions, threats and warnings on behalf of the Western Colonizers.

In my opinion, I believe the AU and regional bodies such as ECOWAS are there to assist the West continue their colonization of Africans while enriching only the African leaders and their famiies. These bodies must either be reformed or dismantled! They are not working for or in the best interest of Africa or Her people! Else, they should have forced these Western Colonizers out of Africa and ended those nefarious Colonization pacts that African countries were blackmailed into signing!!
