Star Trek actor William Shatner has become the oldest person to reach space, calling his trip "the most profound experience".

The 90-year-old blasted off from Texas on a Blue Origin rocket - the space company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series, spent 10 minutes on his suborbital flight alongside three others.

A baby girl has been born on an Afghanistan evacuation flight heading for Birmingham airport.

Soman Noori, 26, gave birth at 30,000ft above ground, in Kuwait airspace, after going into labour.

A spokesperson for Turkish Airlines said: "After the pregnant passenger informed the cabin crew about her labour pains, the crew asked whether there was a doctor in the aircraft.

"Due to no doctor being available on the flight, cabin crew facilitated the birth in accordance with their training."

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled his country with $169million in his cash-stuffed helicopter and has been given asylum in Dubai on 'humanitarian grounds,' it has emerged.

Ghani fled the country on Sunday night to avoid bloodshed, as the Taliban closed in on the capital Kabul. He reportedly took with him four cars and a helicopter loaded with $169million in bags of cash - but was forced to leave some of the money behind as it would not all fit in the flight.

Disturbing video showing Pakistani police officer arresting all staffs working for a burger company for refusing to give them free burger.

These unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, June 19, 2021. The staffs were arrested and detained for almost 24 hours by 9 police officer who got upset over the refusal. At the time of the arrest, the victims (staffs), were not given the opportunity to shut down before they were all swept into the police van.

Customers at the restaurant were left unattended to while watching the the whole drama unfold. According to mail online, the 9 officers are currently suspended for such reckless behavior, says the police chief.
