Arosa: How can one have a passion for engineering in Nigeria?

Nigeria needs complete overhaul of its technical educational system. Basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems should be taught right from elementary school. Vocational schools are of great importance in the society. Majority of German technical people are not engineers, they are technicians and play major role in German industries. It is very pathetic that majority of Nigerians trades people are completely clueless. Auto mechanics, brick layers, generator repairmen etc, etc all dumb journeymen trained by another dumb journeymen. You get freedom by supplying kolanut and a bottle of gin. Where is the proper training schools for these young wasted chaps?
