Hi pros, @mr seun payne pls I've tryd to flash d experia blast rom a couple of times, like 6 times now. Once d process gets to "flash d boot partition image" I keep geting a message saying: "clear and update the data partition.......ur phone don spoil", and d phone auto restarts over n over...bootloop sort of. Pls what could b d problem.

tunxlaw2: Can somebody confirm the build quality of the techno i:e does it look rugged. And does it support google play.

This thread is just like comparing a BMW to a Toyota and then spewing thrash about thefact that they both you there...the toyota has better fuel economy and is cheaper to maintain and all. Of course that's true. The BMW is a luxury high end vehicle while the toyota is not a luxurious vehicle.
Techno produces low end phone whil samsung has a wide range of phones available for you to buy.
It won't be strange to say that almost all of you clamouring for techno are saying that based on your pocket. Thr are hundred of samsung mid priced phones you can get at a far lowr price and you can always buy that if you're interested in the android experience.
The screen resolution of those techno phons are crap...battery life is whacked....the camera is worse than a laptops camera....the screen scratches way too easily....samsung ui added lots of ffizy that you might not use though but its always nice knowing you have them and we're not even talking about the hardware yet.
It's those little things thatthe rich pay for and the poor always feel its not worth their money becaus they're still poor.
Quality and class don't even have a price tag but you can always put a value on medicority

But Tecno Android phones on the other hand which i refer to as the contenders for most affordable smart phones with decent specs currently available here in Nigeria are also not as bad as majority of us think. So for the benefit of those who are so curious like me, though i dont review for or against any brand, here is a link to the Unboxing & Hands on review video of the newcomer Android Smartphone from Tecno. Its beats me wen i find people from dis part of d world judge tins by ow much it costs. Come to tink of it sef, samsung devices are actually not dat expensive, if u normarlly buy tings from d U.S, they cusually cost almost half d price we buy dem here in 9ja, but dats not to say dat tecno is bera. as a practical person, I ad to buy d F7 and c ow it is. U may say u are an advanced user oo, but no fone is eva perfect.

I still think som peeps are getting things mixed up here, i got curious about dis fone n i bought it, just to see ow it fares. Some peeps should try n be realistic here, u cant talk about how good or bad somting is wen uve not tryd it out, atleast have a hands on before u talk, thats what they call product sampling in marketing. I'd advice, dont spend ur money on brand names or cos of majority, rather spend on whatever meets ur nids.

Just unboxed my Tecno F7 some minits ago, comes with a 50hrs rechargable power bank, nice earpiece n sleek charger, this is my 1st time of using/buying a tecno phone. Phone n email Setup is straightforward n easy, i just switched my modem's sim card into it and currently using its wifi hotspot to browse on my imac rite now, works smoothly and feels nice n light in hand. I'm not an advocate of any brand oo, but i must say honestly, Tecno has actually steped up, for 33/34k this phone is worth it, n it even comes wit a 13months warranty. Good job Tecno, you guys have changed my impression about you. i'll be posting my unboxing n 1st use review on youtube soon.

Just curious, has anyone ever browsed the internet or download files here in nigeria at speed up to 5mb/sec.......NO, the highest i could get even wit a 4g modem inside of airtel's 3.75g/internet service center is around 2-2.5mb/sec. and that goes for even mtn n etisalat as well, so my curiosity remains that why do we worry ourselves about a phone's connection speed up to 21mbps, wen we only av internet service providers that barely give more than 3mbps. i still maintain that SGS3 is a real great phone n its worth its price, but Tecno F7 is also a good one in its level, dere's no nid to compare both phones. samsung is better but if u looking to get a very nice phone on budget, trust me Tecno F7 is fine....very fine. I'll post an unboxing and review video of the F7 soon, for d benefit of tecno fans who hasnt seen what it looks like.

curiouslad: I have to submit an image online and i've been asked to make sure the height and width correspond to a maximum of 2500 pixels as well as the dpi should be 600 dpi

i've used photoshop to increase the dpi to 600dpi

I set the pixels to be 62 by 59 which i guess corresponds to the maximum pixels on the page!
however the image is barely legible!!!
Is there anything i'm doing wrong

Well done my oga, well i think theres bin a slight error in ur project setting, 1st an image with h&w size of 2500pixels refers real high quality image, something much more than HD resolution, so setting ur canvas to 62x59pixels, for me i think thats where d issue is. try creating a new project in PhotoShop and set your canvas size to the right pixel size, then you might have to do some more upscaling to ur image.

Yeah i totally agree u're right my oga i no dispute ur idea at all. i'm not pitching a tecno against any samsung, d distance is far i know. i'm jst saying wen it comes to buying decent spec phone on budget, which is actually what about 90% phone users nid for deir daily use.....except one is an extensive freaky advance user like u n maybe me sha. We Nigerians sha we too like some kind yeye brand loyalism. som1 mentioned, Super AMOLED plus display, Gorilla glass 3, Smart Stay eye tracking, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, wireless charging, Bluetooth 4.0 with 20mb per sec speed file transfer, 1080p HD video recording @30fps & 720p HD video recording @30fps 4 front camera, S-Voice natural language commands and dictation, 21 mb per second download speed, Dropbox (50 GB storage), USB on-the-go, TV-out, this, that, bla bla bla, who even uses all those features at once? u wait till flexible displays com out soon and ur dear SGS4, HTC One, Optimus G-Pro, Experia Z and co. becomes outdated in no time. U guys still fail to understand d fact that it still cant do more dan a fone is suposed to do. Devices by Samsung, HTC, Apple, LG, Sony and co are great i agree, but it doesnt mean other unpopular brands dont make sense, Tecno, tho ive neva used one, are coming stronger, dats d "P". so u guys should stop bullshitting one brand cos of another, they all dont last ok!.

Come on Guys, this matter no hard at all, as mobile gadget lovers we all know Samsung galaxy range are great devices no doubt, but i think these Tecno newcomers are also cool as well. i had a few minits hands on on d Tecno N7 few days ago & my impression kinda changed. what matters is wether Samsung o or Tecno, they both run latest Android OS and both can perform all d most important/basic functions of what a smart phone stands for i.e make calls, sms& IM, web surfing+social netwks, access to google play store, games and what else?. All other features depends on personal preference, but ow ever cool the hardware specs of a handheld... trust me u'll feel outdated in a couple of months time. @least no mobile phone has ever bin perfect. I'll post d link to my unboxing and quick review of the Tecno F7 in few days time, if i do make up ma mind to buy it and give it a trial.
