Moderator, please come to my aid, i've not been able to view or post anything on the "Unilorin admission 2011/2012" thread, i keep getting this message; "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you". Please help.

I asked my friends over their, they told me English is not that competitive. All u av to do is try to score well in yr putme. The putme is not hard. 30 questions comprising of maths, use of eng, general knowledge, IQ test, current affairs, in 30minutes. According to wat I heard, maths can b more than other aspect, eng might b much etc d set of questions u get it's all by luck. Some questions are like 'how many Mondays are in May 2011', add 345 to 578, fill in d gap wit correct words etc just read wide nd pray. Wishing u gudluck. Btw, where are d students of ksu?

@fentoluwa, your words are encouraging as that is what pple like myself need at this point, choosing ksu as my 2nd choice is a decision i've made already and i wont reverse it no matter what anybody says or does, i have trust in God.

Wow! This thread is deserted, where is ksu aspirants? Anyway, the thread will be crowded again when the time comes. Pls anyone that knows about ksu post utme; what kind of questions does it comprise of? Will the questions come according to the course chosen? Pls enlighten me.

@skmoda, i've gone 2ru most of the posts on dis thread and i must confess, you ar doing a great job, thumbs up 4 u. I once asked a question concerning schools that accept 2nd choice applicants in which urs was one of the myraid of answers i got, recommending uniosun or rather osun state university but i hav one more question b4 i come to a conclusion, IS THEIR SCHOOL FEES REASONABLE, CAN YOU GIVE AN ESTIMATED FIGURE? @gbexy, am glad you realise the fact that the cut-off 4 elect engr is 220. If you are to have any chance of being admitted there, you will have to change ur course to one that ur score can afford.

@kpusmokuti, find the thread 'strictly for uniport applicants', there you'll meet other nairaland students seeking admission to uniport.

Gud day pals, am back again. According to one of the posts i read on this thread, getting admitted to uniport with 2nd choice depends on the course u chose, guys, is it true? Cos i chose ENGLISH LANGUAGE and my Jamb score is 248.

@Harjibode, its unfortunate you were few marks away 4rum elect engr cut-off, 220 was the cut-off 4 most of the competitive courses last yr while the rest were 4 200, unless they reduce it this tym(which i strongly believe they wont). Fortunately 4 you, there will be the prividge of changing ur choice of course if ur score does'nt qualify u 4 ur initial choice, that is if this year's admission procedure does'nt differ 4rum dat of last yr. God help us. @olawalexy, thanks 4 the acknowledgement, i pray and hope we join ya wif da rest peeps @d bettar by far uni very soon.

@Serlijah, well said. UNILORIN doesn't admit dose with awaiting rezult, if ur name mistakenly sneaks into the admission list then you ar gonna face a heartbreaking judgement in d screening process! We have pple who were victims of such nemesis on Nairaland. If you're using awaiting result, you better change your institution choice from unilorin to any other uni that considers such result. SUCCESS.

@yaungdee ur story is sympathetic one. Mine is closely related to urs. I first wrote jamb in d yr 2009 scoring 211 and 60(pume) which automatically qualifies me express admission, only to check the admission list and realise i was fooling around when i said i was awaiting the list. Due to my fervent love 4 unilorin, the thought of taking poly jamb was distanced 4rum my mind, making me forfeit all chance going to higher institution dat year. That wasn't more of a disappointment as it was owing to the fact that i foolishly put my entire reliace on unilorin making no plan for an alternative. I pulled through the trauma and was back on track hoping that my brain was still capable of helping me pass 2010 jamb as i am not the type the has the urge to attend coaching centres, fortunately i made huge success in jamb that yr which surpassed the previous one, scoring 235 and 60% in post utme again and i was persuaded by my arrogant broda to choose unilorin for both choices, only to check the 1st, 2nd, supplementary 1 & 2, and combined lists to realise my name was no where near the lists, the one i tag "the greatest disappointment of my life", i wept fervently, tears streaming down my cheeks like the waters of OWU FALL. Whether the devil likes it or not i must and have already gained admission to study mass communication in unilorin this year in Jesus name. There have been widespread rumours all over the place that the 2011 jamb results are out. Its just a mere rumour, the link jamb created on its portal will be used for the result checking, for sure, but no result is on it presently as jamb will make an official announcement stating the availability of the results when due.

I think oladayo is right,@thread owner, you should have joined the pre-existing unilorin thread and not creat a new one.
