Proven Remedies to Cure Sore throat


Sore throat is a minor infection, but annoying ailment. If you must swallow anything like saliva or water, you must brace yourself for an inescapable pain. Sore throat is a common infection that are suffered by millions of people, and many factors can cause it which includes: bacterial infection, viral infection, acid reflux, smoking, cancer, food allergy, infected tonsils or breathing through the mouth.



Now let's look at the causes of sore throat.



Bacterial infection:


This is mostly caused by a streptococcal bacteria (strep throat). Strep infection can be treated with antibiotics.
Whooping cough is a respiratory tract infection.
Diphtheria is a respiratory disease that is common in developing countries than developed countries. Some of the symptoms of bacterial infection are stomachache, headache and swollen glands in the neck. If not treated well can damage keidney.

How to cure sore throat

Sore throat can be caused by some of the infections listed above, but it can be treated at home.

Take garlic

Garlic is a natural remedy for curing sore throat due to its allicin. Allicin is a compound that kills bacteria which causes strep, pain and irritation.

Directions:
Take one fresh clove of garlic, divide it into two piece, put one piece of garlic in each of your cheek and suck it or you can crush your teeth against the garlic.

Gargle with warm salt water

Gargling with salt water helps to reduce the swelling. Salts primary function in this situation is to draw out water which thereafter shrinks the swollen parts and relieves pains.

Directions:
Boil water, but do not make it to be too hot. Pour the warm water into a glass cup, mix thoroughly with salt. Gargle. Do not exceed 3 times a day because doing so will dry out healthy soft tissue and can make the sore throat even worst.

Fight it with Cayenne

Cayenne seems to be a funky home remedy to cure sore throat. Cayenne and other types of pepper s contains a chemical compound known as capsalcin. Capsalcin temporarily relieves pains like aspirin.

Directions:
Put half teaspoon of Cayenne pepper into one cup of boiling water. Stir in the honey and wait a little until the mixture is warm, then drink it.
