Well, you make call it that but it did a lot in helping choose my phone and am not regretting it.
If I had made my choice base on some paid reviews on YouTube, Gcamera, and other review sites I might have fallen victim of buying what I would have been regretting now.

I said it, the best place to review phones especially for we Nigerians is on nairaland here. I spent months reviewing both here and on other sites, I read over 200 pages on xiaomi thread reading comments, complains, answers,( I must give kudos to the guys on xiaomi, them de try) but after all I chose Samsung and I than God for doing so

I've just read a lot comparisons between samsung and xiaomi. Yea xiaomi have great phones but Samsung to me beats them. I spent months studying and comparing which phone to buy, though I saw a50 in a friends hand and fail in love but then the issue of broken Samsung screen made me look for alternative, in my search for alternative I spent weeks on net reviewing and comparing which phone to buy. I spent weeks reading xiaomi thread on nairaland here trying to get good info about their phones, I ask questions on the thread too, at a time they became angry with me tag me among the enemies of xiaomi because there a lot of complaints from new buyers because of one issue or another, am always inquisitive to know why many complaints on the phone. Though the complaints was about their hardware but software. A lot of third party involved. One example is, for u to get best camera shot u have to get gcam wish I dont fancy getting a third party. another I later settled for a50 after I cant bear with the complains on redmi note 7 and the note 7pro being Chinese version then. As I want to my a50 the xiaomi k20, k20pro, mi9t etc came out, also galaxy a70 too, I start another reviewing and comparing, at the end I later choose a70 which is what am using now. Xiaomi is really trying but Samsung is still baba.
Pls who ever want to buy and phone and want to review it especially xiaomi and Samsung should first spend time read the thread on nairaland here, that's where you see real users. Though Samsung dont have active thread here but xiaomi have best and busiest thread here
