FoodHow Hygienic Is The Barbecue Beef (suya) In Your Area? by NobleIcon(op): 4:59pm On Dec 20, 2013
Hi NL's, I used to see barbecue beef (suya) sellers operating in a very dirty place knowing fully well that the beef can easily be contaminated. Also u will see them leaving the beef open when it's done, exposing it to flies and other disease vectors. But suprisely, even learned people patronise it. My question is, are the suya dealers in ur area doing the same. SHARE UR EXPERIENCE

Nairaland GeneralWhy Policemen Extremely Fear Army People by NobleIcon(op): 2:11pm On Oct 16, 2013
Hello nairalanders, I have seen cases where policemen tremble on realising that someone they harassed on the road (who may be wrong) is an army officer. And even when the army personel call his/her colleague, the policemen will be beaten helplessly while they are armed.
So my question is, why do u think policemen don't retaliate and tremble a lot when army people are involved.
U can also share ur experience on the controversy b/w police and army u witnessed. THANKS.

Nairaland GeneralMillitary To Recruit Additional 50,000 Men, Says Cds by NobleIcon(op): 6:42am On Oct 05, 2013
MILITARY TO RECRUIT ADDITIONAL 50,000 MEN, SAYS CDS
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Admiral Ola Ibrahim, on Thursday said the Armed Forces would recruit additional 50,000 personnel in the next few years ahead to meet up with the current security challenges in the country.
Ibrahim said this in a lecture entitled The Vision of the Chief of Defence Staff for the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, delivered for senior course 36 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State.
He said the additional personnel would complement the provision of equipment and training to strengthen the capability of the armed forces to meet future challenges.
The CDS said that the armed forces was also being re-engineered to meet the current security challenges in the country.
He said that the focus was to have a lighter more deployable armed forces with the capabilities to respond effectively to all kind of security challenges within internationallyacceptable parameters.
He said the re-engineering was also meant to have an armed forces thats very ready to uphold peace and security in a democratic Nigeria, and committed to the protection of Nigeria's larger national interest.
Ibrahim identified terrorism, piracy, light arms, drug and human trafficking as some of the major security issues confronting the nation, adding that the the military was being transformed to tackle them.
The defence chief said that social insecurity was largely responsible for the restiveness in various parts of the country, assuring that the Federal Government was taking measures to reduce the inequities in the system.
Ibrahim urged members of the armed forces to remain focussed and committed to Nigeria, assuring them that the ongoing transformation would continue.

HealthBeneffits Of Sleeping Unclad by NobleIcon(op): 2:47pm On Sep 24, 2013
Do u know that there are lots of benefit sleeping unclad?? Just take ur time and read this.
1. While you sleep, the body perspires for a while and then cools down as it recuperates from the whole day stress and one principle of sleeping un-clad is to allow blood to circulate smoothly. Clothes restrict blood circulation, hence shedding that artificial skin is good for stimulating the same.
2. The tight elastic bands of your pyjamas or short should be loosened for a sound comfortable sleep.
3. Medical research have shown that sleeping un-clad is good for those suffering from insomnia as it has a comforting effect on them.
4. Going un-clad will streamline and accelerate the repair process of the skin. A healthy, uninterrupted air flow will help in the process.
5. Sleeping un-clad allows the sebaceous glands to do their work best, which is sebum discharge and regeneration. This in
turn helps in improving the metabolic rate of the body.
6. And for women, sleeping Unclad can be healthier for their private parts. While it’s totally normal to have yeast and bacteria down there, the warm environment can sometimes cause an overgrowth. One way to prevent infections is to “air it out”. Just
don’t forget to lock your room.
7. Being too warm at night disrupts the release of melatonin and growth hormone (anti-aging) into the body. It regenerates. This is why a person looks refreshed and blooming after a long rest. Because the skin regenerates while you’re sleeping and it may
not complete its cycle with clothes on.
8. Sleeping unclad helps you sleep more soundly, which will allow your levels of the stress hormone cortisol to decrease as you rest, keeping your energy and hunger levels in check.
9. And of course, this is also beneficial to married couples as sleeping un-clad encourages sexier relationships. Isn’t it nice to lay skin-to-skin at night with your wife/husband?
