OChimex: Una problems be say, una go just open mouth waaa without actually thinking. I live abroad, and i can tell you they have credit systems because they have enabling environment which nigeria doesn't have. Most Nigerians are criminal by default, 90 percent will default. There must honesty before credit system work, which Nigerians don't have. I talk from experience being a trader before. Nigeria has no database, nobody can be traced. How do you recover the money? Overseas where they have credit system, for individuals and businesses, they don't have the infrastructure deficeit, insecurity, and lack of power. When will most of you guys become logical beings? I have a BSc in Economics, before you implement any policy, it has to be peculiar to the environment, not because others are doing it. And my point is, get the enabling environment in place first before introducing credit system, if not it will fail woefully. I tell people, problems we have in Nigeria is common sense You live abroad, so? What are you even saying Credit system need honesty Every credit is determined using a credit score globally not "honesty". E.g The U.S Govt utilizes the credit score to determine creditworthiness of the person. The Nigerian BVN also has credit scores which you can easily get a report on through the credit Bureau, request and get your credit report in minutes. As long as BVN has an accompanying Credit score report alongside it, the credit system already has a big foundation. Read more. |

OChimex: It's one of his stupid and selfish gimmicks to bribe people and buy people off. Tinibu is just so stupidly selfish. Why does a man his age be this selfish knowing he is coming to the end of life?
No business can thrive in unconducive environment like Nigeria, where there is zero infrastructure, no steady power supply, and the insecurity is insane. Again, no streamlined single database for Nigerians? How do you track people when given fund?
Tell me how one or business can survive in this environment? Why are Nigerians so pessimistic and ignorant? A credit score system will help reduce poverty by a long way. In fact, its one of the main benefits if living abroad as long as you have a source of income. Mortgages, car loans, etc. and you can spread the payment for years. Imagine instead of paying excessive Lagos rent yearly, you actually get a house and pay it as mortgage for 30 years but it's becomes yours especially for people who cant save enough to buy a house. It's a brilliant move. Everyone who has a bank account has BVN and your financial history is tracked with that. |

Too vague to be a prophecy in my opinion. Best thing is to have a personal relationship with Christ and not a worshipper of men. If you have a personal relationship with Christ, you don't need a pastor to reveal things to you. These pastors are humans, and with all humans, a flaw. They all have tendency to commit sin and yes, they commit sin. Prioritize relationship with Christ not your pastor. |

$32 to one American might seem like $320 to another in the same country, all depending on income and lifestyle.
It's always going to be relative.
Same way, here in Nigeria, #3,200 to most Nairalanders means nothing to other Nairalanders earning over half a million per month.
This simple and commonsense explanation aside... What exactly is the relevance of this post?!! That's a lot for $32. Isn't that his point. That's expensive. |

You are very bright indeed. I would take everything he says and digest it. Nigerian leaders have done worse. This thinking right here is why Nigeria still has a very long way to go. Always with a closed mind. This is not the first time France has been fingered sponsoring terrorists. You all don't read enough. Why do terrorists operate elusively and with impunity? Where do they get funding to buy heavy weapons and pay their men? How come these terrorist are eliminated by other African military (less funded btw) easily at the borders but are elusive to the Nigerian military? They mostly repel. Do you know how many LGA's in the core north under terrorist control? These are just some questions you should ask yourself. Most Nigerians don't ask the hard question, it's quite easy to govern in Nigeria because a lot of people are in my country are morons and will always put sentiments ( tribe, political allegiances, etc) before logic. |
