Maybe, government should make minimum wage to be 5,000 naira so that the Ebola farmer will sell his crate of egg for 200 naira.

He probably has staff to pay. If he doesn't increase the price of his wares, how do you expect him to pay his staff Genius?

He should be behind bars for contributing to Nigerians woes not giving quotes no one asked of him.
His opinion is a good as sawdust, useless.

What is a society without jobs ? ...this manner of arrest will make more people lose their jobs...in America, when you break a traffic law, you are given a ticket and allow to go... Because the law assumes where you are going to is more important than than the offense ..

So whose responsibility it is to provide database ? My landlord ? ..is it my landlord that is enforcing the law ?

Oga, it is the duty of the law enforcer to have a database...no spoil the country oooo

Comparing Nigeria to USA is a no no.
Coupled with the fact that Nigeria leaders are thieving kleptomaniacs.

You're acting and writing like any govt in this country gives a rat arse about your job or you in person.
Those foolz don't care. grin grin grin

Just avoid the crime and follow rules, not hard.

Pedestrian bridge or no pedestrian bridge..do you want to sack him from his work ?...it should be automated...get their BVN immediately, give them a ticket...and proceed to the bank at the end of the day for automatic deduction of the fee from their accounts...this is 2024...

You're correct but we all know there's no database for Nigerians made available by the FG.

It's not the responsibility of Lagos State Govt to provide that.

In the mean time, they can't let their society be in ruins because the tech isn't available.

I find this funny because i hated crossing that road when i used that route years ago to work, it's risky.

Chairman stop crying, they can't arrest all the goats that break law at once.
Use the pedestrian bridge next time.

Snow and icy weather turned parts of South Africa into a winter wonderland on Monday.
.”

It's a surprising phenomena but i don't think it's something to be happy about long term.

This is the effect of global climate change and snow comes with lots of downsides. Provision of heaters (very high electricity bills), blocked roads and extreme cold are not welcome conditions to live in. Even whites in Europe don't like it.

Sunny weather is the best weather. This should be worrying in a region that is predominantly sunny.

Firstly only a school like LASU this can happen to, A school that only breeds agberos and cultists The quality of graduates LASU produces is so low, you cant even engage a LASU graduate in a proper interview without wondering if truly the person is a graduate. 99% of the agberos carrying out oro festival beheading are LASU graduates.

This can never happen to Unilag, Uniben, University of Ibadan, UNN, ESUT, OAU, Nnamdi Azikiwe, EKpoma etc

Quite obvious you were denied admission to the school. You sound so bitter and pained.

The reason for this is NOT far-fetched. You are more likely to have a more stimulating conversation with a rock than with the average Nigerian girl.

Case in point is this interview:

Interviewer: Have you ever been in love?

Tems: “A lot of guys, they are very obvious… There is no agenda but to penetrate.”

And she's one of the smarter ones.

Supposed to be you mean.

Country of thieves.
These people are playing with fire, stealing and creating avenues to steal more in a very impoverished country.
Won't be surprised if Nigeria experiences a coup or a violent revolution with the high handedness by these people who have no value to the country.

That's expensive most average Americans don't even have $5,000 in their account and can definitely not afford that as well.
That's a professional bike, it's meant for athletes that can afford it, not for an average 9-5.

So, I decided to take a walk today to see if I could find a bicycle to help me exercise, as it seems I've started gaining some weight. I came across this bicycle with a price tag of $6,999, which is over ₦10m with the current exchange rate. Just wondering, would anyone buy such a bicycle for over ₦10m if it were in Nigeria (photo attached)... would you?

Even most foreigners in that country can't afford that.

It's Oro festival. Females are forbidden to be present there and only males are allowed to see them.

The extreme type is the Oro done at Night. If a female is caught, her head goes off for sacrifice. And yes, it's still widely practised in Yoruba culture.

mrvitalis:
Anytime I see videos of Nigerian soldiers in action is always disappointing

Realistically this soldiers can't defeat any armed group

When you are ambush it's basics knowledge

You take cover - regroup - get into formation -then lunch counter attack

There is zero differences between what this soldiers are doing to what a random group of boys would do if you put them in same situation

I can't see any reason to believe they are trained... Nigerian Army just win bandits probably when they outnumber them

This is sad to watch... Really really sad

Exactly my thoughts. There is no military tactics in play in all their videos.

The soldiers are trying their best but the govt. obviously isn't investing in training or as usual the Oga's are embezzling funds meant for that.

They just act like a rag-tag group shouting.

The Nigerian govt is useless for endangering the lives of our soldiers.
They've embezzled funds that can be used to buy equipment like armed drones that would take these bandits out in a swoop easily from the sky they won't even see it.

Business / Re: Naira Depreciates By ₦‎81/$ At Foreign Exchange Market by Noblemanonpoint: 7:18am On Apr 19
That's because people are buying the dollar after Bloomberg's report.

It's a spike because people are speculating that the naira will depreciate soon. It's an artificial gain.

Nigeria will need sustainable production to help but recent economic policies being implemented will definitely bring the dollar down to a bearable rate at least.

* Aviation fuel is now being bought with Naira.
* Private businesses and schools who traded with Dollars have been prohibited.
*Recapitalization of banks.
*Oil earning in dollars now going directly to CBN not private accounts anymore.
* Crackdown of practices that encourages hedging on the Naira.

These policies will definitely reduce the demand for dollar hence reduce its value against the naira especially with Nigeria now on the verge of getting PMS with Naira.
All short term policies but should be effective.

Ultimately, Nigeria needs aggressive industrialization to further strengthen the Naira in the long run.
Keep your dollar close, but don't forget to get an handkerchief for the tears as well.

Most of you ranting here are not workers and don't have family.

If fuel that was formally N180 is now N710 what is the percentage increase?
Apply that increase of N30,000 and see the range of figure that it will be.

Go and ask CBN,NNPC and FIRS and custom how much they earn

Meanwhile expect industrial action to fight the minimum wage to stay...

You are listing CBN,NNPC and FIRS. What of the private sector, the Adelabu and co limited and other businesses?
Can they pay this?
