This Igbo tribe are too greedy for money, it's already ingrained into them. They can kill for money. Most of them doing business are into illegal shady dealings, few of them are legitimate. |

Kuginzi: Wasn't this guy called out for embezzling funds meant for a public project by Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State? He should be behind bars for contributing to Nigerians woes not giving quotes no one asked of him. His opinion is a good as sawdust, useless. |

Available9: Comparing Nigeria to USA is a no no. Coupled with the fact that Nigeria leaders are thieving kleptomaniacs. You're acting and writing like any govt in this country gives a rat arse about your job or you in person. Those foolz don't care. Just avoid the crime and follow rules, not hard. There's a bridge there. If you need a working system, Japa. |

Available9: You're correct but we all know there's no database for Nigerians made available by the FG. It's not the responsibility of Lagos State Govt to provide that. In the mean time, they can't let their society be in ruins because the tech isn't available. |

I find this funny because i hated crossing that road when i used that route years ago to work, it's risky. Chairman stop crying, they can't arrest all the goats that break law at once. Use the pedestrian bridge next time. You're a scapegoat or sacrificial lamb 4 Likes |

WannaHowzit: It's a surprising phenomena but i don't think it's something to be happy about long term. This is the effect of global climate change and snow comes with lots of downsides. Provision of heaters (very high electricity bills), blocked roads and extreme cold are not welcome conditions to live in. Even whites in Europe don't like it. Sunny weather is the best weather. This should be worrying in a region that is predominantly sunny. |

Politics / Re: Reps Move To Halt Public Officers’ Spouses From Declaring Assets by Noblemanonpoint: 8:20pm On May 22 |
They simply want to collect bribes and steal under their spouses names. Country of thieves. These people are playing with fire, stealing and creating avenues to steal more in a very impoverished country. Won't be surprised if Nigeria experiences a coup or a violent revolution with the high handedness by these people who have no value to the country. 1 Like |

Greatconcept12:Lies. Except you're doing a high skill job like a Tech job or a big time doctor e.g Surgeon. That's expensive most average Americans don't even have $5,000 in their account and can definitely not afford that as well. That's a professional bike, it's meant for athletes that can afford it, not for an average 9-5. Una go dey deceive una self online. |

chinero2: It's Oro festival. Females are forbidden to be present there and only males are allowed to see them. The extreme type is the Oro done at Night. If a female is caught, her head goes off for sacrifice. And yes, it's still widely practised in Yoruba culture. |

Politics / Re: The Moment Soldiers Were Ambushed By Bandits In The North West. (Video) by Noblemanonpoint: 8:00pm On Apr 19 |
mrvitalis: Exactly my thoughts. There is no military tactics in play in all their videos. The soldiers are trying their best but the govt. obviously isn't investing in training or as usual the Oga's are embezzling funds meant for that. They just act like a rag-tag group shouting. The Nigerian govt is useless for endangering the lives of our soldiers. They've embezzled funds that can be used to buy equipment like armed drones that would take these bandits out in a swoop easily from the sky they won't even see it. 1 Like |
Business / Re: Naira Depreciates By ₦81/$ At Foreign Exchange Market by Noblemanonpoint: 7:18am On Apr 19 |
That's because people are buying the dollar after Bloomberg's report. It's a spike because people are speculating that the naira will depreciate soon. It's an artificial gain. Nigeria will need sustainable production to help but recent economic policies being implemented will definitely bring the dollar down to a bearable rate at least. * Aviation fuel is now being bought with Naira. * Private businesses and schools who traded with Dollars have been prohibited. *Recapitalization of banks. *Oil earning in dollars now going directly to CBN not private accounts anymore. * Crackdown of practices that encourages hedging on the Naira. These policies will definitely reduce the demand for dollar hence reduce its value against the naira especially with Nigeria now on the verge of getting PMS with Naira. All short term policies but should be effective. Ultimately, Nigeria needs aggressive industrialization to further strengthen the Naira in the long run. Keep your dollar close, but don't forget to get an handkerchief for the tears as well. 3 Likes |
