They should have shown us his father is a badass gangster. They should show us his rivals too and the power struggle. They should show us that the effects of the father led to the loss of the mother's life. Moving up to farm should portray his love for nature and how much he wanted to protect it then fighting poachers and thus led to gangsters. That should have been the build up

People are even forgetting one of the most stüpid character arcs Snyder had planned to happen had he not been fired:

Dude wanted to make Batman and Lois Lane to become a thing with Lois falling in love with Bruce Wayne due to Superman's absence. To make matters worse Lois gets pregnant for Bruce. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Which kind yeye story be that. Dude just shat on almost every lore that endeared these characters to fans and comics readers in the first place.

Let's say he has to kill Zod cos he had no choice...fine. But how come Superman lets his pop get killed by that tornado or whirlwind?? The Superman that I know definitely ain't allowing Pa Kent die that way when he could actually do something because of some stüpid sense of not being seen as a freak. The whole world be damned.

His Lois and Clark relationship was the blandest. No fvvking chemistry between two of them. Lois is even relegated we hardly see her and many people disliked Amy Adams portrayal.

There's many key characters Snyder casted that people h@ted. If almost all your major and pillar characters are divisive and disliked by many fans, how do you build a universe or hype for future movies?
Many people disliked Ezra Miller's Flash long before his brouhaha with the press.
Some sections of the fanbase wasn't moved or like Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman portrayal but she had a good story in her solo film and looks almost exactly like the character so no widespread complains from fans.
Cyborg with Ray Fisher wasn't convincing for many people. Fast forward to today how many people even talks about or remember Cyborg in that Universe. Many people basically forgot about him. We see people everyday clamouring for Henry Cavill. Peeps still talk about Ben Affleck's Batman in comparison to Bale and Battinson. Aquaman is still an OG, people compare the CW Flash ans Ezra's. Gal Gadot gets slated occasionally for her acting as WW. But no fvvking chatter about Cyborg. To show you how almost nonexistent the character is for peeps.


If I start listing the issues with Snyder's portrayal of the various DC characters, this thread go full and it'll look like I h@te him.

The way Snyder portrayed many characters and storylines you'll doubt if he's ever read the comics or if he's even a fan. He just twists the fvvk out of everything in his own image. Make it dark and gloomy and hopeless with a false sense of grittiness to make things look realistic.

Are you sure you watched Man of Steel? All your explanations as to why he let his father die is there? Do you see the aftermath of saving his colleagues life in the bus accident? Do you hear what the father said?

Hell no.. I don't think he's going to make Lois marry Batman. What Superman said as he wanted to kill Batman in the Darkseid stuff was that... You let her die.. He's accusing Batman of letting lois die. That' has nothing to do with marrying at all

My unpopular opinion is that Henry Cavill Superman got a nice conclusion.

From his origin and his death, to his resurrection and teaming up with JL. That's a well rounded arc in my opinion.

Zack Snyder's next plan for Superman was to make him a brainwashed Darkseid henchman.

Given that and the ending he got in Josstice League. I'll take the JL ending anytime anyday.

I know Snyderbros want Superman to be an evil godlike figure like Omniman. Me I just want the traditional Superman we enjoyed before Snyder's time.

Henry Cavill himself said he preferred Joss Whedon's take on Superman.

The traditional and very classic Superman full of hope and optimism.

Looking at character the same way is insane. It's boring..

People have absolutely no idea what Superman is capable of if he's evil. I wish WB allowed Snyder to show us that.

Ans although flash will later reverse it all.. I really wish the memory of what Clark has done sticks in all of em mind.. both villians and protagonists.

The worst Luthor I've ever seen in my life. Giving hippie Joker vibes and a psychopathic trait. Some major characters characterization by Snyder really alienated his universe from many audiences. It's mainly DC fans that stuck with him. The average audience zoned out with the character assassinations.

*Having a Batman that kills despite all his morals and fans initially having problems with Affleck cast as Batman.
* Superman killing Zod which is still controversial to this day.

*The single act of killing Superman in his second movie just put the nail in the coffin for his universe.
Reason why that film debuted with the largest opening for a superhero film at the time with $420mn worldwide and still couldn't even beat $1bn because after opening weekend fans and audiences was pissed how the film turned out. First time ever Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman shared a screen ever and it couldn't hit $1bn despite the m@d anticipation with that movie and opening weekend.

*Goofy @ss looking Doomsday even the CW design looks way better and the way and manner we got the Doomsday was sketchy.

* A highly controversial Joker portrayal with Ayer and his goofy gángster vibe who'd always have Heath Ledger's shadow on him.

* The poorly executed "Martha scene"....fine, he wanted to show how emotional Batman can be to his parents de@th and all. It's still stüpidly executed. Batman who's been gathering info about Superman and secretly knows about other Justice League members (Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman etc) but couldn't know that Supes mom was Martha?? The fvvk you kidding me. It's a very stüpid plothole. Someone he's been plotting to take down for a while.

* There's also this one I always found annoying: The Kill!ng of Robin by Joker. We haven't even seen a Batman movie and he's already kill!ng off characters —off screen for that matter. If he even showed the story on-screen I would have appreciated it. For a director task with building a universe kill!ng off characters without fleshing them out and plotlines and you're expecting everyone to buy it like that.

But his Darkseid showdown in Apokolips would have been glorious tho.

Like I said.....it's all vibes and insha'Allah with that universe. There's so many structural problems not to like even if you're the most optimistic DC fan.

You should write and direct your own Superman movie. No wonder you people are so pissed lol

Good afternoon everyone, am a 28 year old guy with good successful businesses and I can say I am doing well all thanks to God.

The problem I have is my inability to spend money on myself, I don't dress well nor do I eat well. People often doubt if I have the things I have cos I don't look it at all. Am modest to a fault, I haven't eaten chicken for the last 5years am being serious here. I just find it extremely difficult to spend money on Myself.

Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me. I asked my few friends if I give off poverty mentality vibes and they said YES. Growing up was really really tough on me as i come from a very poor home, I don't know if that has affected my psyche.

Please how do I defeat this mentality

Fear of going broke. That's your problem. It's good to have phobia for going broke but.. if you don't eat good food and you die of malnourishment, all your money goes to those who don't understand your suffering.
