The damage to Saudi pipeline pumping stations is quite extensive and it won't be fixed soon because no engineer wants to go and work in a site steadily threatened by drones.

Also, Trump stupidly stays in the Whitehouse running his mouth and pissing off the Iranians more. A ship hit a sea mine in the strait of Hormuz on Sunday and the Iranians are prepared to lay more mines. One of America's largest retail outlets Costco is already rationing motor oil. Things aren't looking pretty.

Most of us weren't born in the 1970s when America under Ronald Reagan stupidly meddled in the middle east and triggered an oil shock similar to what we are experiencing now. The difference this time is that it is going to be worse. There is a reason most US presidents since the 70s have avoided Iran. But Trump is too stupid to understand why.

My early view is that City have the edge, but this looks much closer than a routine away win. The current probabilities are 44.6% for Manchester City, 30.7% for Manchester United and 24.7% for the draw.

That still leaves a 55.4% combined chance that City do not win. For me, the key questions are United's ability to play through City's press and the confirmed attacking lineups. If United avoid conceding early, the match could become very uncomfortable for City.

I really want to insult you so bad cos most countries pay subsidy but due the fact that Nigerian know how ruin good things, you can't manage yourself, therefore subsidy looks like the worst thing ever. That N187 was made possible by massive printing of naira and borrowing.

Fact is, we did not remove subsidy in 2012, when we should have. The result was that government was forced to borrow to maintain the subsidy. And that created a massive debt, and also forced the Buhari government to raid the forex reserves...just to pay for the subsidy.

The result was the subsidy being removed to at least allow the government have some spending money, otherwise things would have really been bad.

Most African countries charge as high as NIgeria, most even higher. Only five african countries have some form of subsidy on fuel, and even those, (apart from Libya that can pay for subsides and refinery upkeep without breaking a sweat because they have a very small population)...maintain it at the expense of debt. If all African countries subsidsied fuel like we do, even the oil producers, they would have collapsed economically ages ago.

Choose your wickedness...removal of subsidy with harsh price increases but the chance of improved domestic refining and more jobs, and no more borrowing to fund subsidy, or maintianing subsidy with the borrowing it entails.
