Hello guys. I salute you all. I'm Jefferson and I'm actually having interest in the NDA. I have been trying to go through your chats here, but it's just a load to read.

I just wanted to know, " firstly, i'm turning 21 by dec 23. Wanna know if I can still apply. secondly, when I register for Jamb, can I choose another school and get admitted into that school even if I don't proceed for the admission into NDA? does the fact that I signed up for NDA voids my admission success into other university( I might have chosen in Jamb?)
and lastly, is the entrance exam a normal school exam or more 'militarily-like'?

i'd really appreciate an urgent reply to know what to do because I have few days to my birthday. thanks.

UNIBEN 2016/2017 NEXT ADMISSION LIST UPDATES

.....The main fact is UNIBEN hasn't stopped releasing admission list for 2016/2017, at least, they still have one to release. To make this sound better in your ears, i have a friend who has been among the 'submitted' aspirants all along untill 2 days back when her status changed to 'admitted'. What does that tell you? It means UNIBEN is still working. But this person wanted UNIBEN to be fast and so the person paid for it. You'll be suprised how much she bought the admission with. Things in the country is somehow if you still haven't believed that. The people with long legs enjoy the fruit of the land. But that doesn't mean God isn't there for those who have 'short legs'.
So, from the little gist above, what do you think? You think Jamb deadline stopped anything? If it really did, how then was this person admitted? Think again. Now UNIBEN has said........read full story below

Still On UNIBEN Admission.

While students still battle with concluding thier clearance, other not-yet-admitted students are still on the wake waiting for UNIBEN's next action. If UNIBEN will not admit more students, perhaps they would have sent out a message or closed thier portals.

But keeping silient isn't the best method as well. They are supposed to carry thier studnts along. So here is........

According to PunchNg, the late Ifedolapo Oladepo, a corps member of the 2016 Batch ‘B’, who died at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Kano , had renal sepsis (an illness )occasioned by infection, a report that was conducted has revealed. From the result of investigation, the doctor concluded that the deceased “had kidney infection, probably due to untreated urinary tract infection.”

This is to inform all newly admitted students into Lagos State University's various undergraduate (Full Time) programmes who have their courses changed from the one originally applied for at JAMB, to immediately visit JAMB website to apply for a change of course.This directive, which must be carried out within 48 hours (on/before Wednesday 30, 2016), is compulsory so as to enable JAMB process and release the admission letters of affected candidates, a precondition for clearance and registration.

This exercise is at a cost of Two Thousand, Five Hundred (N2,500:00) Naira Only, which must be paid online directly to JAMB.This directive is compulsory and should be strictly adhered to, failure which, the candidate(s) admission shall be withdrawn.

_STILL ON UNIBEN ADMISSION PROCESS/CLEARANCE_

Jamb's order was that all institutions must have submitted their list to them before their Nov 30 deadline of which has passed. So this thus mean that UNIBEN has submitted her list to Jamb already (if you still haven't believed so) even before the deadline was reached. Unless otherwise, UNIBEN would want to disobey Jamb's order(unlikely)- but well, let's not hope so. The fact is that the list will be coming out. He said that the November deadline might be extended for these set of institutions by 2 to 3 weeks. But this does not include first choice/ federal institutions/ universities-that the November deadline which was set earlier by them MUST be strictly adhered to!....... continue reading

......As admission processes are currently ongoing, Jamb's website starts to suffer this issue above. And trust me, they've only got one choice to make sure their site is still live. And that's what I said above also. They will have to restrict mobile browsers from accessing their website. LATEST UPDATE ON UNIBEN ADMISSION CLEARANCE AND DEADLINE

.......And as we all know, with the numbers of freshers coming in plus the old students compared to the hostel space, limited accommodations will be available for Fresh candidates. So applying early will help. As you may know, these are the things you're supposed to carry out before you can get a hostel.

FINACIAL TRANSACTIONS

There shall be Prohibition of Financial Transactions at Clearance Venue: There shall be no financial
transactions in whatever form at the Clearance
Venue. Consequently, sales of Faculty Prospectus, Collection of dues, levies and other forms of Payment and Purchases are strictly prohibited. The release of completed and signed Clearance/Eligibility form to student should not be tied to any other payment other than the fund paid for clearance.

CLEARANCE DEADLINE

And for those who rumours caught up with, physical clearance officially started on Monday

To all Uniben freshers, below is the guildlines of which your Hostel applications shall be processed. You are advised to do as directed by the school's authority to avoid difficulties or problems that may arise later due to failure to comply.

ACCEPTANCE FEES

You must have paid your acceptance fees before
you will be allowed to go ahead for hostel application. That means your clearance should be done first. Don't just start looking for Hostel space when you even haven't paid your fees.

MEDICAL TESTS

As a fresher, it is an order set by the school to undergo a medical test before you can get a bed space within the school. This is to take preventive measures in putting in aspirants in order to avoid Spread of diseases, vector-carrier issues, viral pathogens from spreading in the school. This is

EFFECT OF ASSU STRIKE ACROSS UNIVERSITIES IN THE COUNTRY

The issue of the ASSU strike has literally paralysed academic activities across universities in the country as the one-week warning strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU. Below is a quick summary of the activities across some of the universities in the country following the warning strike by ASSU.

IN LAGOS , At the University of Lagos, (UNILAG) and Lagos State University, (LASU), there were full compliance on the directives from ASUU, as lecturers in both institutions put all lectures to a halt. According to vangard, they paid visits to the two campuses at Akoka and Ojo which revealed that both lecturers and students were not in the classes, and many students seized the opportunity of the strike to travel home.

At UNILAG, some of the students were found at the sport complex engaging in sport activities, while few others were studying under trees and in some class rooms.

IN OSUN , the situation was the same at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode as lecturers obeyed the one-week warning strike by ASUU. Many students were stranded as a result of the failure of the lecturers in the universities to resume work.

BENIN : The University of Benin (UNIBEN) and the Edo State owned Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma were not left out in compliance to the ASUU directives as lecturers and students vacated classrooms. Though students were seen on campus but the classes were under lock and key as ASUU leaders in the university patrol the classes to ensure compliance. ........So from this explanation, we are to understand that, "UNIBEN DID NOT RELEASE FIRST BATCH AND THERES NOTHING LIKE SECOND BATCH OR THIRD BATCH AS WELL, BUT WHAT WE HAVE IS A LONG LIST OF ADMITTED STUDENTS THAT IS BEING SENT OUT IN BITS( meaning small portion at a time). SO THE FIRST LIST WAS NEVER A MERIT LIST. THIS ALSO MAKE US UNDERSTAND THAT THE NEXT PORTIONS THAT WILL BE RELEASED ARE IN NO WAY INFERIOR TO THE FIRST PORTION AND VICE VERSA. Unlike before when you only had to remember your registration number,Now you shall be required to create a profile via the Sign Up as New User before you can do anything on the new site, weather Admission status,
