Hello Makano

Thank you for your detailed response and all points are duly noted. However is threre any specific way to prove this sponsor beyond all possible doubts through documentation. He's a mentor but I'm claiming him as uncle.

Thank you again for your anticipated response

Hello nolookingback

1. Whatever course you wanna choose, just make sure the course is very related to your work experience and not your undergraduate degree.. It's been over 10 years you graduated, so it won't be ideal choosing a course related to your 1st degree, so go for courses related to sales.. And the courses you mentioned, if they are closely related to your Job or you have strong reasons for choosing the course, please go for it.. You can get a PGD admission with your 3rd class coupled with your years of work experience..

2. I assume your Mentor is a 3rd party sponsor, and we all know the Visa officers pay detailed attention to 3rd party sponsors, I.e the Visa officer wants to be convinced that the said sponsor will be committed to your studies.. It's not about your sponsor having all the millions, but about his commitment to your studies and also to your living expenses in Canada.. He must pay at least a year of your school fees..
You must also show close relationship with the said sponsor if he isn't your family member, if he has sponsored you in the past, that will be a very good tool to convince the Visa officer, so work on your relationship with your sponsor.. Also I won't advise he uses his company's SOA, it's not a good move, unless he pays your full school fees and transfers all the remaining funds for your living expenses and missileanous to your account and he will still have enough money to pay his workers comfortably..

3. This depends on you, you can apply alone, get to Canada, get your study permit and SIN and then apply for a spousal permit for your wife and visiting permits for your Kids, you will have to use your family members as hometies to convince the Visa officer that you will surely come back to your family, cos no married person with a spouse and kids will abandone his family and jet away..

Or you can apply as a family, with you being the principal applicant.. But you must have very strong home ties since you won't be using your family as hometies... Many applicants have gotten their visa with both categories, but applicants that go alone first are more than applicants that apply with their family... Many married applicants here apply alone first and immediately they get to Canada, they start applying for their spouse and kids... So the choice is yours..

Good luck on your Canada journey, one more thing, you will need to have lots of patience in this journey, just telling you in advance...

It will end in praise.

Peace

Greetings to all the selfless individuals in the house, I have been reading threads upon threads regarding the Canadian study permit and it's been so enlightening

Congratulations to all who recently got their permits and to those who are still on it, I wish you good news this year

I have few questions and I will be so much grateful to get the input of the gurus @Lekiboboe, @justmellow @frankrobben, and everyone else who would be gracious enough to further enlighten me.

1. I graduated with a 3rd in 2010 and I have been working as a sales exec for the past 7 years, I am considering a PGD in Global business management or Business analytics in one of the colleges, is this a good idea and if so, I'd appreciate recommendations

2. I have a mentor who's willing to sponsor me, will his company documents and bank statements ALONE be sufficient to show as POF?

3. What are the chances of getting my family to easily join me after landing (we're a family of 4)

Looking forward to your counsels as always

Thanks
