Please familanders I need your candid opinions on this matter.

A cousin of mine travelled outside the country and I was responsible for helping him put the things in his apartment for sale cos he had already left naija. A particular TV I sold to someone via jiji is the issue here. The buyer of this TV inspected the TV before sale and everything was working fine . Then , three weeks later he contacted me that the TV was beginning to show lines and discoloration on the screen after 3weeks.

I gave him listening ears cos I know how it feels to shell out 150k for a TV set, anyways I told him that he tested it before purchase and everything was working perfectly, I also made him understand that the original owner wasn't in the country anymore . Having listened to his complaint I contacted my cousin and narrated everything to him, and he told me point blank that it's not my business nor his that since the TV was working perfectly before the buyer left he can't give the buyer any money.
My cousin was of the opinion that the TV got spoilt in the hands of the buyer and 3weeks is a long time.

So , I apologized to buyer and refunded him 20k from my pocket because of guilty conscience , buyer is asking for an additional 45k again . Am just tired of everything and my cousin no one shake body , and I don't blame him cos I know how difficult it was for him to relocate.

I need advice please . Is the 20k enough for the buyer or should I shell out extra 45k from the little I have ?

I seriously fault you for refunding him that money. You don't own a shop, you don't offer TV services, so he knew what he was getting into when he bought from you.

If he didn't test it, or if he realised the problem within few days, that's different. 3 weeks?

Better warn that guy to stop disturbing you. Seems you're too naive in how to relate with Nigerians. You'd be surprised he was the reason for this problem.

That’s 156k total landing cost.

From the usa, fresh sweet fully tested laptop.

Yet someone wants to sell the same laptop so used that the body is broken at 175k.

I’m a mini importer too(which you know) and I can tell you that the laptop with that uncle shouldn’t cost more than 75k. On that note I rest my case.

Also, used latest Intel Pentium and Intel Celeron laptops are around 100k+ now. I'm talking about 3000 and 4000 series. Yet you're asking for a core i7 workstation to be sold for ₦75,000.
