The patriotism in Nigeria in recent times is largely tribalistic in nature. We saw it during Buhari and now with Tinubu.

If Tinubu likes, he can weaponize tribalism again in 2027 and further polarise Nigeria thinking that the only threat he faces are within.

To preserve that exclusivity, a flight company in Nigeria, with the same aircraft and with the same fuel, that transports people from Heathrow to JFK at 30 euros, charges about 500 euros.

Don't forget that there's increased patronage due to the security challenges in Nigeria. Hardly anyone wants to travel by road again.
