The twin-engine aircraft went down close to Dillingham Airfield near Mokuleia in Honolulu County. There were no survivors from the King Air flight, the Hawaii Department of Transportation tweeted. Photos showed smoke billowing from miles away. It is not yet clear if the plane was taking off or landing. "Right now, the initial report is that there were nine souls on board," an official told Hawaii News Now. "There's no survivors." The Honolulu Fire Department said that they received reports of a downed plane at around 6:30 pm on Friday. From: collinsuchendusblog.com An American man who won an $80million lottery while he was getting divorced has been told he must give half in settlement to his estranged wife. According to Daily Mail, 50-year-old Richard Anthony Zelasko from Michigan must give his estranged wife Mary Elizabeth, 48, half of the money he received because an arbitrator handling their divorce deems it marital property. The couple from Pontiac, Michigan, who have three children together were married between 2004 and September 2011, when Mary Elizabeth filed for divorce. In 2013, while they were negotiating it, Richard won an $80million Mega Millions lottery. After taxes and fees, he walked away with a lump sum of more than $38million, the publication reported. In court papers obtained by DailyMail, Mary Elizabeth claims that she was the breadwinner, earning between $100,000 and $120,000 throughout their marriage in her job as in advertising sales for Conde Nast while Richard earned $36,000. In his decision, arbitrator John Mills argued that while it was his first winning ticket, it was probably not the first ticket Richard bought during their marriage, often using their shared money to get it. 'As losses throughout the marriage were incurred jointly, so should winnings be shared jointly,' he said. 'It’s true that defendant spent $1.00 to purchase the winning lottery ticket, however, the dollar spent was arguably marital money and, as such, a joint investment,' he added. He also claimed that since their separation, Richard did not give Mary Elizabeth any financial support for their three children. In 2013, she was awarded $15million of the lottery money. Later again in 2014, the court awarded Mary Elizabeth monthly child support payments from Richard of more than $7,000. But the arbitrator who made the decision died without ever issuing Mary Elizabeth's award. Richard has been fighting the decision ever since but last week the Michigan Court of Appeals upheld the decision. Richard tried to have all of his decision vacated but the court denied it and appointed a different arbitrator. From: collinsuchendusblog.com More than 16.5 tons of cocaine have been seized from a ship following a raid at a Philadelphia port on Tuesday. The billion-dollar bust, in which several crew members were arrested, occurred aboard the MSC Gayane, a cargo ship that originated in Chile and traveled through Panama and the Bahamas before docking at the Packer Marine Terminal in Philidelphia, a senior official at the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) told CBS News. "This is one of the largest drug seizures in United States history," U.S. Attorney William McSwain, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, tweeted on Tuesday. "This amount of cocaine could kill millions – MILLIONS – of people. My Office is committed to keeping our borders secure and streets safe from deadly narcotics." The Mediterranean Shipping Co., responded to the drug raid by saying it's "aware of reports of an incident at the Port of Philadelphia in which U.S. authorities made a seizure of illicit cargo. MSC takes this matter very seriously and is grateful to the authorities for identifying any suspected abuse of its services." The company reiterated that it's "committed to working with authorities and industry groups worldwide to improve the security of the international supply chain and ensure that illegal practices are dealt with promptly and thoroughly by the relevant authorities." From: collinsuchendusblog.com Italian football legend, Andrea Pirlo has reportedly sued a man who pretended to be him for two years in order to receive free designer clothes and jewellery. The man, identified as 48-year-old former goldsmith Alessandro Palazzolo of Valenza, has been sued for fraud after being recognised by Turin police in Italy. Investigations into the fraud case began when the former Juventus and AC Milan midfielder filed a lawsuit after repeatedly being asked to repay debts he had no idea about. According to Gazzetto della Sport, police enquiries uncovered Palazzolo had deceived shopkeepers in Turin, Brescia, and Naples, asking for discounts and favours and working with an accomplice who would take expensive clothes and jewellery for free. The publication also claimed that the man also tried to obtain 'facilitated medical examinations' by contacting the ex-footballers doctor. Authorities in Turin recently apprehended the identity thief and his accomplice by tracing telephone calls and gaining testimonies from traders. From: collinsuchendusblog.com The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it recorded over 1,689 court cases as a result of the 2019 general election. Mohammed Haruna, INEC National Electoral Commissioner in charge of Niger, Kogi, and Nasarawa states, said this on Thursday in Lafia during the state level post-election review retreat. Haruna said more than 890 of the cases were pre-election matters arising from the conduct of political party primary elections, while 799 were election petitions at the various tribunals across the country. According to him, the pre-election cases indicate that political parties need to put their acts together in order to deepen the nation’s democratic process. He also said that the cases before the election petitions tribunals showed that much still needed to be done to improve on the electoral process. “We are here to review what we did for this year’s general election with a view to improving on our subsequent outing. You will agree with me that any document is work in progress, you can never get it perfectly,” Haruna said. Haruna cited the unprecedented number of political parties that participated in the 2019 general election as one of the challenges that the commission faced during the conduct of the polls. In his remarks, Uthman Ajidagba, Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, said that 26 cases were recorded in the state from the 2019 general election. That is why we are celebrating June 12 as our new Democracy Day. So, we are really very happy that you are able to share with us a very special event – the celebration of our new democracy day.” On deepening ties between Nigeria and Venezuela, Prof. Osinbajo said: “We believe that the collaboration between our countries in the economy, culture and science, amongst others, will be useful to our people.
