A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Azubuike, who was kidnapped in Ebonyi State, has been freed.
Fr Joseph Azubuike was rescued unhurt. 3 people were kidnapped along with Fr Azubuike. They were rescued at about 6pm on Tuesday, 11, July 2023.

He was kidnapped by Fulani.

Fr Joseph works in St. Charles Catholic church, Mgbaleze in Onicha Local government in Ebonyi as the parish priest.

Court remands Prankster Trinity Guy, two others in Agodi prison over alleged sexual exploitation.

A family court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State has remanded prankster Maruf Abdullahi, aka Trinity Guy, in Agodi correction centre for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl.

He was remanded alongside parents of the child, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat Ahmed, 29, on Tuesday, July 11.

The Magistrate, Mrs P. O. Adetuyibi ordered that the trio should continue to be remanded in Agodi and adjourned the matter until Aug. 3, for mention.

Reports claim that the police charged Abdullahi, alongside the parents of the victim with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Oluwakemi Arowosaye told the court that Abdullahi, Ahmed, and his wife Rofiat allegedly conspired together to wit sexual abuse.

Arowosaye said ‘Trinity” on Dec. 17, 2022, was alleged to have sexually abused and sexually exploited a 10-year-old girl in the Kuola area, Ibadan.
