The Etisalat Flash Fiction prize is a vote based contest driven 'entirely' by social media . While some see this as bad thing, I think there has to be a good side to it.
Some of the good sides I found were:

1. Helping writers build their platforms.

2. More visibility and exposure

3. Encouraging writers to value readers, not just art.
