I. Love your school mates; they will be your companions for life and work.
II. Love instruction, the food of the spirit. Be thankful to your teachers as to your own parents.
III. Consecrate every day by one good useful deed and kindness. IV. Honor all honest people; esteem men but humble yourself before no man.
V. Suppress all hatred and beware of insulting your neighbor; be not revengeful but protect but protect your own rights and those of others.
VI. Observe carefully and reflect well in order to get to truth. Deceive not yourself of others and beware of lying.
VII. Consider that animals also have a right to your sympathy and do not harm them or tease.
VIII. Think that all good is the result of work.
IX. Call no man a patriot who hates or has contempt for other nations, or who wishes or approves war.
XI. Love your country and nation but be co-workers in the high task that shall make men live together in peace.

1. Stop and think before you drink.
2. Don't let your parents down; they brought you up.
3. Be humble enough to obey. You'll be giving orders someday.
4. At the first moment, turn away from unclean thoughts -- at the first moment.
5. Don't show off driving. If you want to race, go to Indianapolis.
6. Choose a date who would make a good mate.
7. Go to church faithfully. The Creator gives you the week. Give Him an hour.
8. Choose your companions carefully. You are what they are.
9. Avoid following the crowd. Be an engine, not a caboose.
10. Or even better -- keep the original Ten Commandments!
