If the passport the woman tore up was her own personal passport would it be a crime? I doubt so!
So I guess at best she is guilty of destroying another person's property/item.
Now is that an offence liable for a jail term? If only you could read |

I can not even imagine myself dating any medic except maybe a Doctor.
Doctors may sometimes be slightly more mature than others in the medical field but only slight.
Having travelled to the US and UK, I can reliable say that medical field is not so regarded in western countries. Nurses are basically glorified servants that most westerners will not bring down themselves to do such dirty jobs which is why they have to import immigrants from poor countriers like Nigeria, India and Pakistan to do that job |

But let's not put the cart before the horse.
What is the official penalty if any for someone to tear an international passport??
If there's no punishment in the book, we can't just say because we dislike her actions, manufacture a punishment just for her.
Also recall, after the last presidential election.. many people gave up hope in Nigeria and destroyed Nigerian passport..
Where they ever arrested ?
Where they ever prosecuted?? Her action would constitute a breach of Section 10(b) of the Immigration Act 2015 (as amended), with corresponding penalties outlined under Section 10(h) of the same Act.
Those who tore their passport did it outside the country but will be arrested anytime they step foot in Nigeria |

they know this - which is why i said in the end it is posturing. keyamo is not negotiating from a position of strenght Nigerians fly that route far more than Brits but BA takes a huge chunk of the profit in that route. I have flown to Britain from Abuja but have never used BA nor Virgin Atlantic. This is to let you know that there are other options open to Nigeria. So if BA are excluded from that route, BA will lose economically |
