Those ports are called eastern ports by the (Nigerian ports authority ) and how dull are you kid that you don't know the difference between geographical parts of Nigeria and geopolitical zones of Nigeria? The onne port in port Harcourt is connected by rail to ABA which is easier and cheaper to transport containers for importers based in the south east geopolitical zone than transporting those goods from Lagos ports

No Lagos official or governor has ever claimed that Lagos is congested

The growing population of Lagos is good for commercial activities and internal revenue

So leave congested Lagos to Lagos govt. They are not complaining. If you feel Lagos is congested for you, leave!

Lagos is blessed naturally by nature by having access to the coast, just like many other southern states with access to the ocean. The South East is landlocked, however, the south east governors can come together and dredge the Niger river. So they can have some sort of river port.

Lagos did it with the Lekki port and the upcoming Badagry port as well. You don't have to wait for the FG.

An example of a river port from around the world is the river Mersey that flows from Liverpool in the west coast of UK to Manchester in the hinterlands.

I don't understand how decongested Lagos will make South East grow when growing Abuja, Rivers, Oyo, Ogun and Kano have no negative impact on Lagos.

My friend wasted 4 years studying philosophy only to end learning a vocational skill of which he is using to fend for himself.

Another one had a first class in Engineering, I can tell you...on paper he can sugar quote things. But give him a screw to loose..he will spend 2 hours there. That one is currently working in a bank as he isn't practical enough to apply what he has been taught.

You must be or have been a poor geography student. South-South is geographically a misnomer. The coinage does not exist in the four and eight cardinal points. It was a bastardised term invented by an Igbo man, Alex Ekwueme to give the minorities a geo political sense of belonging.


Even at that, a lot of south east communities are more southerly than the Ekwueme invented South South zone. Port Harcourt is geographically in the East. So, shut it!
