Its a SCAM by Access Bank!
What they are doing (not the first time) is to employ these young people as "interns/trainees" but use them for all manner of jobs meant for full-time employees.
They even give them a crash course for like one week and ask them to mount positions like Tellers, Cash officers, Marketers, Operations, e.t.c

......... but meanwhile, they pay them peanuts like they would pay an ordinary I.T student, at times just #35,000 monthly!

After using these guys as "cheap labour" for between two and four years, they refuse to retain them (after completion of the internship period!) and throw them out only to recruit another set of "exploited Cheap Labour".

You wonder why "internship" has suddenly risen form two years to FOUR YEARS?
What are you teaching an intelligent Graduate in a banking job (the worst when it comes to repetitive tasks!) for One Year.... not to mention 4yrs?

But l dont blame Access bank (GTBank does similar thing), l blame those criminals at the NASS because if they knew their job and why they are in that NASS, they would have promulgated Laws that criminalise such "abuse of our Youths".
Imagine, 4yrs as "trainee"? Upon small pay and no 'guarranteed" future employment?

Thunder fire all the Directors and Managers in that useless Access Bank.

Brief Description

A paid traineeship of 5 months with the European Commission (or some executive bodies and agencies of the European Institutions like, for instance, the European External Action Service or Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation), starting on either 1st March or 1st October.

You will receive a monthly grant of approximately €1,120 and reimbursement of travel expenses. Accident and health insurance can also be provided.
Every year, there are about 1,300 places available.

If you are one of the selected candidates you get hands-on experience in an international and multicultural environment. This can be an important enrichment for your further career.

Eligibilty

The traineeship programme is open to university graduates, from all over the world who have a:

Degree of at least 3 years of study (minimum a Bachelor);
Very good knowledge of English or French or German (C1/C2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);
Very good knowledge of a second EU official language (required for nationals of EU countries).
You must have completed at least 3-years of study with a degree to apply for a Blue Book traineeship. Only if you have a certificate or an official confirmation from your university that you have at least a 3-year degree will you be eligible to apply.
You can apply once per session but as many times as you want until you are finally selected. If you do not pass the pre-selection, or you are in the Blue Book but not selected for a traineeship, you will have to submit again your application. It will undergo again the pre-selection with no guarantee that you will successfully pass it and be in the Blue Book again.
Advice for applicants

Once the application period has closed, potential candidates will undergo the first phase of the pre-selection for the Blue Book, i.e. assessment of applications.

Candidates are anonymously evaluated in the assessment phase by two different evaluators, on the basis of following criteria:


Level of education (a full university degree of at least three years of studies is mandatory);
Language level in one of the three European Commission working/procedural languages (English, French, German) other than your mother tongue/s (mandatory);
Language level in the remaining European official languages and/or non EU-languages, if applicable;
Relevance of work experience, if applicable;
International profile - experience of living/working abroad (mobility);
Motivation and quality of reasoning;
IT Skills, organisational skills, publications and rare domains of study.


If they successfully pass the first phase of the pre-selection, candidates are "pre-identified" and admitted to the second phase of the pre-selection, i.e. verification of supporting documents/eligibility check.


For the level of education, candidates can send:


the certificate/s with the final grade/s clearly mentioned;
the Europass Diploma Supplement, if available;
university transcripts.

The latter are accepted as only proof for the level of education if the certificate/s is/are not available, but only if the date of degree and the final mark awarded are clearly mentioned.

We accept diplomas in all 24 official EU languages. If they are written in a non-EU official language, a translation in one of the 24 official EU languages (possibly in English, French or German) must be attached. No certified translations are required but highly appreciated.

Up to three relevant work experiences can be mentioned in the application. Only work experience that is related to the profile that is selected and lasted, uninterruptedly, more than 6 weeks should be declared. Traineeships made during university courses are already assessed as part of the education and shall not be mentioned as work experiences.

Applying to the Blue Book programme does not prevent candidates from applying to other EU traineeship schemes in other institutions at the same time. However, if they decide to do a traineeship of more than 6 weeks (or a period of 42 calendar days) of in-service training or work (paid or unpaid) for any of the European institutions, bodies or agencies, in EU-delegations or for Members of Parliament (MEPs), they will no longer be eligible for the Blue Book.

If the supporting documents match the declarations in the application, candidates successfully pass the eligibility check and are introduced in the Blue Book. If the supporting documents are insufficient, incomplete and/or do not match exactly the declarations in the application, candidates fail the eligibility check and are not included in the Blue Book.

Once in the Blue Book, different EC units can then see the applications of the candidates and, potentially, select them as trainees.
