USA will never be over the fact that Iran's oil industry is nationalized and the Western oil cartels are not allowed to get their paws in it like they do all over the Arab middle East.
Oil nationalization is why the West torpedoed Iran's democracy in the 50s in the first place.

The USA also helps the Arab nations cover for the repression of any dissent in those Arab nations, of course they love that. Many people forget Bahrain had an "Arab Spring" that was violently crushed with the aid from other Arab states, and limited Western media coverage. All while Hilary Clinton was barking "Assad must go" everyday on tv about the Syrian Arab spring.

As per diplomacy, it is gone out the window unless a more moderate person gets into power. The Arabs have investments in the US so Iran’s demands of cutting ties with the US and its allies is delusional to say the least. Qatar owns about 30-40% of London.
Also, the Arabs will never forget this attack and remember, China has Russia and OPEC to buy oil from. Qatar has helped Iran greatly, same as Oman but that’s gone. You don’t blow up my main source of income because you’re angry with my friend.
