Buhari swears in Acting CJN
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday swore-in Hon Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).


This followed the retirement of Hon Justice Mahmud Mohammad, the former CJN who is stepping aside after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 70 years.

Justice Onnoghen is the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court after Mohammed.

President Muhammadu Buhari met with Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Sunday, to discuss the deadline for the swap of old naira notes.
