Truth is Buhari never decieved Nigeria by talking of subsidy because fuel has never been subsidized so there is never any subsidy to remove.
Note that the first Nigeria heard of subsidy was Obasanjo in 1999, you just hiked fuel prices and called it subsidy removal.
Abacha never oncr claimed he was subsidizing fuel yet sold fuel N14 per litre and when he increased fuel price to N18 per litre he never called it subsidy removal and fully accounted for the additional revenue by using it to set up the Petroleum Trust Fund to enhance infrastructure and made Buhari the chairman.
Buhari has said severally that the fuel subsidy in Nigeria is a hoax.
