Please are you in Abuja? Where exactly are you?

kablooee:
What's your location. Just to prove a point to your mech, I can help you start the vehicle without charging you but you must tow it down here. We've done over 30 GDI Mitsubishi with same issue.

The other guy with no acceleration. It's the throttle actuator but pls change the complete throttle body. Cost just 9k.

Those Mitsubishi GDI ehh.

*note. I'm not a fan of solutions without proper diagnostics but this has become a daily fix.

You are the first person that comment good on this car, though I have not experience time belt issue and i dont want to experience it so I got to take precaution. The reason is that I have seeing quite a number of users stranded here in Abuja because when the time belt cut it affect valve which will later result to ordering for another engine. There is case now that have being packed for close to a year in a mechanic shop the current issues on that is the electrical system even after they place new engine of close to 120k.

Mine is still within a year that I ordered it from germany and i dont want to experience that ugly side as the machine is good.

Thanks all the same.

Army Reveals Why Shekau Hasn't Been Forcefully Captured
Akinshilo Ayomide, Yesterday

Email045
The Nigerian Chief Of Defense Staff has revealed why the military have not carried out an aerial bombardment of Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau’s hideout.

Army Reveals Why Shekau Hasn't Been Forcefully Captured
Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau
According to the Nation, troops have not stormed Shekau’s hideout because the sect is using the Chibok girls as shield.

Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, on Wednesday visited Chad to seek clarifications on some issues and map out plans with multi-national force on what a source described as the final onslaught against Boko Haram.

The military source, who spoke in confidence with The Nation, said Shekau and some members of his Shura Committee – the sect’s highest policy making body had been shuttling between Sambisa Forest and strategic locations, such as Gwoza and Bama.

The Chadian President, Idris Deby said Shekau’s convoy was sighted in Dikwa on Tuesday. But the military source explained that Shekau has a strong base in Gwoza with a special armoured tank.

The source said: “Troops have located what I may call Shekau’s bunker but they cannot strike because some of the Chibok girls are being used as shield by the leaders of Boko Haram.

“We want to do a clinical job with limited damage because the whole world is awaiting the safe return of the Chibok girls.

“ The ability of the troops to rescue some of the girls will earn more credit to the success of Nigerian military against the insurgents.

“We are also being extremely careful to avoid any military assault which may force Shekau to turn against the Chibok girls and other hostages in Boko Haram’s camps in the Northeast.

According to the source, intelligence report has indicated that recent bombings in Jos and other cities were borne out of anger against the military for reclaiming over 40 occupied territories and killing more than 300 insurgents.”

Air Marshal Badeh on Wednesday met with the Chadian military hierarchy.

A source, who spoke in confidence, said: “ The session was used to iron out alleged claims by Chadian military that Nigerian troops were frustrating its collaborating troops in the Northeast.

“At the meeting, the Chadian military denied issuing such statement. Instead, it restated its commitment to collaboration with Nigeria to rout out the insurgents from the Northeast and the sub-region.

“After ironing out the misgivings, the CDS and Chadian counterpart later mapped out plans with the multi-national force on the final onslaught against Boko Haram.

“We are likely to see enhanced synergy between Nigerian troops and their Chadian counterparts in the next few days.”

It will be recalled that in a recent interview, President Goodluck Jonathan revealed the status of the captured chibok girls.

Thanks, hope the mechanics will not by this spoil anything in the engine.

DECOtech:
For your Mitsubishi GDI which is an "interference engine" (type that bends valves when timing belt snaps), your timing belt change interval should be at about 60,000miles if its an OEM belt. (Manufacturer specified)

Good day nairalander, the increasing in the issues of time belt is getting me worry especially in all this vehicle that are not common in our road. Example Mitsubishi space wagon GDI to mention one.
My questions are:

1. What are the signs your time belt need to be replaced.
2. Any interval for the replacement like we always do for engine oil.
3. Peradventure yours is not visible, hope the mechanic will not damage the engine while trying to remove it.

please your contribution if you experience it before and how did you solve will be appreciated.

thanks.

Christians Should Vote For Candidates Based On Performance

Even with the elections postponed, Nigerians guess it’s still going to be a Buhari vs Jonathan showdown in late March. Naij.com’s guest author Evangelist Raymond from Benin talks about how some of Nigeria’s religious leaders tend to support either Goodluck Jonathan or Muhammadu Buhari based on their religious affiliations instead of performance.
I was in a bus recently in the company of various pastors and fellow Christians as we traveled to attend the annual Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) meetings held in Lagos.
After all the praise and worship that usually characterize such trips, a pastor stood up and, to my surprise, began campaigning against Muhammadu Buhari. He said Buhari is an Islamist and we should not be carried away that his running mate, Osinbanjo, is a pastor. He said Buhari only chose Osinbajo to use as his puppet; once Buhari is done with using Osinbajo to gain the seat of power, he would dump him and take up his Islamic agenda.
At this point, I was raging. But my friend, whose guest I was, noticed my annoyance and pleaded with me to calm down and not be the “odd man out”. My friend knows me too well with respect to blasting anyone who’s took his stand with liars, so he was not a little worried.
As the pastor rattled on, so did my anger. Finally, I reached my breaking point and busted out. I told that pastor to focus on the message of salvation and leave Buhari alone. I told him that he had no right to discredit Buhari only because he is a muslim. If the pastor also was born into a Muslim family he would not have been a Christian. I told him he had no right to compel anyone as to who to vote for. I continued my assault on him and all those who dared to take a stand with him.
The showdown was quickly put down as the chairman of the PFN of the particular location shut him down and replaced him with another pastor who focused on the message of Christ. Fear fell upon the entire bus that conveyed over 50 of us. My words opened up a new realization in them and they were even more dazed that I stood against a man of God.

We must never be un-bold to tell the truth, we must never respect personalities more than the truth. Obviously, the pastor was not in the truth. He was been partisan and acting in falsehood. However, some issues presented themselves which I want to clarify to the body of Christ.
Should we Christians vote for Buhari? Will God choose a Muslim Buhari over a Christian Jonathan?
One of the greatest rulers that ever lived was King Cyrus. His story is recorded in the Bible Book of Ezra. He was not of the people of God, yet, God used him to bring prosperity to the world and to rebuild his house, the temple in Jerusalem.
We must understand that God is not a partial lunatic like we humans are, so he never acts like us.
Nigeria is a country made up of Christians, Muslims and idol-worshipers. When God is choosing a leader, he chooses one with the right heart. Whether such is of any of the above religions does not matter because they all have equal rights to the nation of Nigeria. That is the first point I want us to realize. Regarding presidential election, God will choose the best among the available with respect to how much goodwill they have a heart to carry out for the people.
Any pastor saying we should not vote for Buhari because he is not a Christian does not know the ways of God.
I think Christian leaders are insinuating that we should vote President Jonathan into power because he is a Christian, even though he has failed to perform prosperously during years of his administration.
It is annoyingly disgusting. I mean, how can we be so selfish and call ourselves Christ-like? How do we stand on such grounds and yet say the Muslims want to come to power by all means because they are unhappy that a Christian is in power? If we Christians say ours is a better religion than Islam, how has our Christian Jonathan proved Christian living through his leadership? How has he bettered the life of the poor? Has he stood against oppression and all the vices that characterize bad governance as Godliness commands us? Christianity is not so in name; rather, its a life formed after Christ’s image. So can we Christians championing Mr. President’s re-election beat their chests and define Mr. President’s governance as being Christ-like? The truth is, that Mr. President has disgraced Christ.
I, for one, am very ashamed of Mr. President because of his failure as a Christian leader. Many men in the Bible, such as Prophet Samuel, Paul etc., boldly stood before the people and urged their people to say of they ever took advantage of their position to defraud. Can Mr. President say such today? David led God’s army to destroy all enemies of Israel. But has Mr. President, the Christian leader whom PFN admonishes us to follow, used the armies of Nigeria to destroy Boko Haram? Read what God says is the problem with Jonathan the Christian leader: Joshua 7vs 12: He has an accursed thing in his government. Corruption is the accursed thing in this government, the reason for Nigeria’s inability to stand against enemies. The anger of the Lord is kindled against Mr. President because he has shamed the body of Christ and wasted the opportunity given him to shine the light of the gospel.
It is written that “when the righteous reign, the people rejoice”. Can the PFN boldly say that Nigerians are rejoicing because of the goodwill this government has ushered in? If people are not, it means the man in power is not righteous, and we know what that means.
The money Jonathan gives to the leaders of the body of Christ does not make him special to God. As a matter of fact, God is even all the more angry with him because those monies belong to all Nigerians. God is not a selfish being. He doesn’t want to use the money meant for Nigeria for his church. It is error!
The PFN feels that because a government gives money to support their works, it is approved by God. I am sorry for them because they are “Balaam wrong”! Don’t collect money or resources meant for Nigeria for the gospel. God has enough to take care of his work.
Finally, I had a vision where I saw Mr. President’s train headed for Abuja, blaring loud sirens. Many Nigerians gathered to enter the train. Most already did and others were waiting on train station. But, as the trains rattled towards the station where we all gathered, I realized that the track was weak and something terrible was going to happen. I shouted for everyone to move backwards. Those that heard me quickly rushed backwards but others didn’t listen. Then, all of a sudden, the train track gave way and the train skidded of the track just when it was about to disappear into a tunnel. It crashed into a great pit.
Mr. President will fail in his quest. His works and many supporters will all go down with him. This is the meaning of this vision. Not even prayers of Christian leaders will save him. God has left the President because he has been weighed on the scale and found wanting the accursed thing. Jonathan’s days as a president are numbered.

PoliticsShould Christians Pay First Fruit Offering? by oba009(op): 2:08pm On Jan 20, 2015
SHOULD CHRISTIANS PAY FIRST FRUIT OFFERING?
JAN 10 2015.
SHOULD CHRISTIANS GIVE FIRSTFRUITS OFFERING?
Firstfruits was one of the offerings in the Old Testament, is it still applicable in the New Testament? Let's see some facts and truth about FIRSTFRUITS from the Bible.

Firstfruits was not just an offering like tithes and offerings, but it was an offering for sacrifice. Leviticus 2:12. "As for the offering of the firstfruits, you shall offer them to the Lord, but they shall not be burned on the altar for a sweet aroma."

Leviticus 23:20, "The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest."

In the New Testament, the word "firstfruits" was mentioned about 8 times, and none was refereed to for monetary offering, because in the New Testament, Jesus Christ became our Firstfruits, the sacrifice of offering unto God, and the monetary or animal offering of firstfruits is no longer necessary and biblical.

1 Corinthians 15:20, "But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep."

1 Corinthians 15:23, "But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming."

In the New Testament, firstfruits is no longer monetary offering but Christ became our Firstfruits, and then every person who first gives his life to Jesus in a family is the firstfruits of that family unto God; people who first give their lives to Jesus in a particular community or country are the firstfruits of that location, and every first church in a particular community or country is the firstfruits of that place.
Romans 16:5, "Likewise greet the church that is in their house.Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia to Christ."

James 1:18, "Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures."

THE MERCHANDIZING OF MODERN CHURCH
Quoting firstfruits from the scripture as a means of collecting money in the church is another means of ungodly money making of the modern church. Some of those churches who collect offering of firstfruits do that, and put the whole money in the pocket of a single person - the Senior Pastor or the Daddy G O. Now, how will such pastors not become millionaire overnight? Such practice is not only unbiblical but in a wrong means, even the Old Testament firstfruits offerings were not given to the High Priest or a single person.

The churches who practice firstfruits offering are the decayed churches that have been perverted by modern demon of mammon spirit. Some even go to the extend of telling their church members to redeem their first children with money. If you are redeeming your first child with money in your church, it means the blood of Jesus is not enough to redeem your child. Christians are not redeemed by money or offerings, we are redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:18, 19, "knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

If any pastor or church asks you to redeem your child with an offering, tell them that the offering by the Blood of Jesus Christ is more than enough for the redemption of your children and yourself.

One of the popular pastors in Nigeria whose church practices collection of firstfruits offerings usually visit the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, every year; and in the churches, the ministers would announce, "if you want to meet our Daddy G.O at the National Cathedral, you will need to buy invitation card of N15, 000 (About $100), so you can have access to him." Every year, this church usually sell invitation cards to their members to have access to their senior Pastor, maybe thousands of people do buy the card. The question is that, if you do not pay money to see Jesus, do you have to pay money before you can see the servant of Jesus? This is another evidence on how far Satan has gone in the church.

One of the terrible things about modern church ministers is the possessed spirit of mammon, everything is monetized. Calling certain amount of money for special prayer, selling anointing oil for special blessings, asking prophetic offering - meaning if you need prophecy of prayer of prophet, you need to pay - collecting firstfruits offerings and paying money to see a man of God are few of the way they make merchandize of the free gifts of God in the church.

You will not hear such things from the founding fathers of faith, in America, Africa, Europe or Asia. The Apostles and our contemporary founding fathers of faith who founded some of the churches did not practice such system of money collections, and if our founding fathers were godly and contented, if they did not collect firstfruits offerings or special invitation offerings, if they did not sell anointing oil or organize special 700 clubs to raise fund, are we wiser than them? Are we wiser than the Apostles whom God used in the Acts of Apostles in the Bible? Why didn't we read such practices about them?

Wisdom demands that we should all repent from our love of money, and be delivered from the demon of mammon. From whom scripture is given, sincerity is expected. When you know the Truth, He will set you free if you allow Him.

1 Timothy 6:3-5
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

Pastor of the Redeemed Christian church of God, Bribena Efiye, has noted that All Progressives Congress chosen Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as their vice-presidential candidate to give the illusion that Pastor E.A. Adeboye, G.O. of RCCG is supporting Buhari’s election bid.

Bribena Efiye mentioned this while speaking with the journalist of the Daily Sun newspaper.

He said emphatically: “As a pastor in the RCCG, I will not vote for Buhari simply because he has picked Osinbajo as his running mate.”

“One can see the APC trying to launder the image of someone who has consistently allied himself to religious fundamentalism,” he continued.

“A case in point is Buhari’s utterances in the run up to the 2011 general elections where he categorically said that Muslims should not vote for Christians and that Northerners should not vote for a Southerner.

“That, for me, is a very serious issue. So, the fact that Prof Yemi Osinbajo, who is a pastor in the RCCG, was picked as his running mate does not take care of that issue. Rather, it makes one to believe that picking Osinbajo is a deliberate attempt to launder Buhari’s image. APC is only trying to pull wool over the eyes of the Nigerian electorate…”

“The propaganda machinery of APC is only trying to create the impression that the GO of the RCCG and the Church have backed Buhari because he picked Osinbajo as his running mate. There is nothing that is further from the truth… The G.O. has made it clear that he is father of everybody because he has children in both PDP and APC.”

If President Umaru Musa Yar Adua were alive today, he would have just been rounding up his second and final term in office. His death from a protracted illness in 2009, almost created a crises in the country, as his kinsmen who felt his death had cheated them of the Presidency tried to come up with unconstitutional schemes to produce his successor and ensure that power did not leave their area.

Unfortunately for them, their schemes did not work. Nigerians insisted on the constitution being up held and his Vice, Goodluck Jonathan from the South South zone took over.
Since then the country has not known peace as people from Yar Adua’s part of the country have employed all means, fair and foul to destabilize or truncate the Goodluck Jonathan administration and ensure that someone from the North takes over. To ensure that this happens, the powers that be in the north have propped up General Mohammed Buhari as a presidential candidate. They see him as the only politician from the North with enough popularity and credibility to beat Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP in the North.

To further buttress their chances of wresting power, they formed an alliance with Bola Tinubu, whose party, the ACN controlled most of the South West. The product of this alliance is the APC which has Governors and legislators of the now defunct CPC and APC as members, in addition to defecting Governors and legislators from the PDP. The alliance, no doubt, is a formidable one and for the first time the ruling PDP, often described as the biggest party in Africa, is facing serious competition for votes. In fact if some analysts are to be believed, on paper, the APC is sure of producing the next President of Nigeria.
According to their analysis, Buhari will sweep the whole of the North and South West, including Lagos and Kano with their teeming voters. He will share Middle Belt with Jonathan and make serious in roads into traditional GEJ territory in the South South and South East with the support of such people as Governors Rotimi Amaechi, Adams Oshiomole, Rochas Okorocha and all the other legislators and party members from the various parties which make up the alliance.

In politics, as in life, anything is possible and things are not always what they seem. Their analysis may be correct and it may not. However what is clear is that General Buhari has a better chance than he has had in his three earlier races, of becoming president of this country. That is where the problem lies.

I saw Buhari in Anambra state in November last year, and the first thing that stuck me was that he did not look well. He looked pale, tired and drawn. He was much thinner than I had ever seen him. He has never been a fat man though, so for him to be that thin was saying something.
I attributed his appearance to the wear and tear of running a nationwide Presidential campaign at the age of 72 and forgot about it.

It was not until I read about Frederick Fasheun of the Unity Party of Nigeria calling on General Buhari to tell Nigerians the truth about his health status, that it occurred to me that Buhari’s health was suspect and that may have accounted for the way he looked that day I saw him.
Then I read that he collapsed at Calabar, Cross River state while launching his campaign there a few days ago. I said to myself, “Here we go again”. This is beginning to look like a repeat of the Musa Yar Adua episode.

It even began to look more so when the APC insisted that he did not collapse, that he merely stumbled while he was climbing up to the podium.
It will be recalled that Yar Adua’s campaign was dogged with allegations of his poor health. At a point it was even rumoured that he had passed on in Germany where he was rushed after he collapsed during a rally.

His handlers, supporters and those who brought him out to contest for reasons best known to them, refused to admit that he had a health condition. He went on to win the election and become president. The rest is history.
He could not do much as he was incapacitated by illness. He was away from the country for long periods receiving treatment for his condition, while the country was being ruled or rather misruled, by a cabal which was headed by his wife.
This was the situation until he died and the controversy of a successor, which almost led to the overthrow of the Government, arose.

There is no doubt that members of the APC, Buhari’s kinsmen, supporters and others hoping to benefit from a Buhari or APC presidency know that Buhari is their best bet for snatching power.
But they will not be doing the man, our country and themselves any good if they push a sick man into office and he dies trying to get there or shortly after he gets there.
Nigeria may not survive the aftermath of such a development as his people would feel hard done by and refuse to accept such a development as natural

There is need to ensure that the man who is aspiring to rule us and who may rule us is in good health. If Buhari is not healthy, how is he going to keep his promise to fight corruption which seems to be the only thing he has to offer?
With him out of the way, the crooks who make up the APC will run riot and loot the country blind. Certainly that is not what Nigerians want or need at this point.

One can’t really help wondering how Buhari and his APC can bring about the change they are promising if their front runner cannot tell the truth about such simple things as the state of his health, his certificates and his assets which appear to have remained stagnant since 2007, neither growing or shrinking.

He has refused to say the truth about his role in the Boko Haram insurgency, his role in the riots which followed the 2011 elections in which hundreds of innocent people, including 11 Youth Corpers from the south of Nigeria, lost their lives, or how he was able to pay for his 27million Naira nomination form.

He has also refused to talk about his time in the PTF where a fellow member accused him of corruption and a Presidential panel confirmed that the organization he presided over was indeed corrupt. He has refused to talk about the injustice he dispensed freely and selectively in the name of fighting indiscipline during his short and brutal regime. He even snubbed the Oputa panel the Federal Government set up in an effort to redress such injustice and bring closure or respite to the injured, as well as other controversies which have dogged his very controversial military and political.

As I conclude, I recall a quote which says, a murderer will kill you, a thief will steal from you, but one never knows where he stands or what to expect from a liar.
Nigerians don’t really know what to expect from the APC and their Presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, who in 2011 wept on television while appealing to Nigerians to vote for him because he was contesting for the Presidency for the last time.

In the circumstances it will be wiser for Nigerians to stick with that which they know being Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP, as they do not have the resources, time and money, to waste trying to find out whether the APC and their candidate can even deliver anything.
Already the APC and their Presidential candidate are saying that it will take time for the change they say they are bringing to occur. It will no longer be automatic or immediate as Nigerians had been told. At this rate, if they get into office, before long, as things get worse, they will deny that they ever promised to change anything.
