Winning LGA elections doesn't necessarily guarantee longevity as a governor. Some govs had their stooges installed as LGA officials but still lost reelection. It's still a part of the whole sum of other factors.

But for a state as rich as rivers state, having your boys control the lgas is very significant.

This is what wins election in Rivers in particular. The militants, the thugs, the jobless boys roaming the streets... the LGA chairmen giving them money to smoke igbo and all. Impeachment is the only weapon Wike can use, and i am not sure about that at this point. Wike is not a good student of history, how can uthink u can fight Rivers state governor, every rivers governor have so much access to huge funds that the only thing on their mind after 8 yrs as governor is to use all the huge stolen money to buy votes of every nigerian and become president, Odili, Amaechi, Wike himself...infact Fubara no brutal reach. By now all the political followers of WIke should be busy fighting stae government in court for demolition of their property and bullying of all sort, Fubara still give them chance to go dey fight for strusture for their oga. If na brutal politician be fubara, they will have their hands full right now fighting for survival of their asset and income to feed their family, some of them will even be pledging to switch camps now, so they can rest

I keep telling those who care to listen.....even all this you mentioned are not sufficient to keep fubara on that seat......it's unfortunate the type of system we run but the presidency would go a long way in determining if fubara stays or goes,that's why we are saying fubara doesn't seem to be playing his cards right,you need Abuja whether you like it or not,his greatest undoing was not getting the majority state house of assembly members to his side,those guys hold the death knell.

Fubara's case will be determined in a room and not on the streets.....he is already proving to being an unstable character.

see those lawmakers are not lawmakers anymore. To impeach Fubara is the safest route for the presidency to follow, if it was viable, Fubara would have been a goner now......the presidency would want to be careful in forcing him out, I am not sure the issue of those lawmakers is still an option for them.
Fubara and Wike are doing exhibition for FG, the presidency may eventually support who shows that he is in total control of Rivers votes

The situation on ground in Rivers state is totally different. Obaseki had some LG chairmen, but obaseki does not have the people overwhelmingly, Obaseki does not have political heavy weights in edo on his side, Obaseki does not have all the political thugs on his side, political jobbers have not too much incentives to align with Obaseki because he is not the one that will shake the cake in the next 4 years, the president does not really have so much to lose in Edo State.

In Rivers case, Fubara has the overwhelming support of the people, the godfathers, the thugs, the political jobbers and even the militants, which is where the presidency is also being careful, because the presidency also needs some vote from Rivers come 2027. Lots of Forces against Wike in Rivers, the only thing he has is the alignment with presidency, unfortunately the presidency cannot wield that power too much

Ok, maybe na other young men dey suffer d consequences now. We will keep telling young men, a lot of them no go hear word because they have not much to lose, they can impregnate someone and still actively chase their dreams, they are not d ones that will push pregnancy about and have morning sickness for months, they are not the ones that will have to put certain parts of their life on hold. Now advice the person that will suffer bigger consequence, u turn am to gender battle. Female have final say on whether a pregnancy will be kept or not, therefore they should also take up bigger responsibility on who and when to be put in the family way.
We will keep advicing young boys but young girls should be told its going to impact them more

Child birth is a risk, Abortion is a risk too. The guy is as stupid as the lady. The man should know having unprotected sex can result in preganancy and not have it. The woman too should know that a man having unprotected sex with you is not commitment or indication that he wants to have. She shoul have realized that she had so much more to lose, especially considering the guy already told you he was travelling. That is even the kind of man u should extract proper commitment from before opening ur legs.
