The Job - Internal Audit & Control Officer

Basic Responsibilities
• Conduct periodic risk-based audit on the Company’s Credit, Treasury, Finance and other areas of business operations;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise risk management procedures and offer suitable recommendations to management
• Monitor the internal control processes established by the management, and appraise independently the accounting, financial and other controls within the Company
• Prepare Exception Reports to highlight issues and problems identified during spot checks and other routine/non-routine audits
• Advise management on required improvements to operations as well as areas of vulnerability in compliance with regulations

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Division) in Accounting or any other related discipline
• Professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA
• Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) would be an advantage

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in Audits (preferably in the Financial Services Industry)
